Love Leads in every Marital Issue
One of the Love killers in marriage is Religious arrogance and intolerance. Religious means devout, or concerned with religion. A person concerned more than others in religious matters is said to be religious fanatic. He or she is called a devout member of that religion. The example of this occurs in all religions and their denominations. Arrogance means “overbearing pride or self importance”. Intolerance means, “Unwilling to tolerate the opinions of others and beliefs etc.Religious arrogance means a person who has overbearing pride or self importance more than others. This brings about religious intolerance .Many so called devout believers in whatever religion exhibit religious pride or arrogance. Some husbands and wives have destroyed their families as a result of religious pride and arrogance. The intolerance existing in the family has turned marriage to “manage”. Most people who have the sickness of religious arrogance have not seen the reason to get married as at when due. Most couples are in loggerheads over sexual relationship. Many husbands are now taking solace in the bosom of other women who care for them since their wives abandoned them to live in the church or other religious centres.Many husbands and wives have separated or partially divorced as a result of religious pride or arrogance. Most pastors deceive their members” to dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever” without knowing the meaning of that verse. The presence of the Lord is everywhere. This defines the omnipresence of God. Where ever you call God, He is there. From Samuel who was sleeping inside the chancel. The Bible reports,” And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. (1st Samuel 3:1-4) to Prophet Elijah who was at brook Cherit.The writer of Kings recorded,” Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, which is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee”.(1st Kings 17:3-9) God spoke to Samuel and Elijah inside the sanctuary and at a river side respectively.
