Referees are ruining the game

The second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, finished with a devastating victory of 4:2 for the home side.  The game was going normally until the red card of Bayern’s key player: Arturo Vidal in the 84th minute, just after Bayern scored the second goal. Or we can say more like an auto-goal  by Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos.

Now this post is dedicated to the awful arbitration and decision making of the lead referee, Viktor Kassai, who in many people opinions, ruined this game for Bayern Munich.

Everything was going fine, compliance with the rules of the game in the first half. The first half finished as a tie. The result was 0:0.

Now the second leg, Bayern Munich took possession and dominated the game, they pressured the home team, and they got a penalty in the early stage of the second half (’51 minute). To many people this penalty was diving, but this was the only correct decision that the referee made today. It was a clear-as-day penalty. The penalty taker was Lewandowski (the top scorer for Bayern Munich) which successfully found the net and led his team (Bayern Munich) into advantageous 0-1.

The game finally got the atmosphere of a real match, and  both teams opened and felt more confident in the second half. Just twenty minutes after the goal of Robert Lewandowski, in the 76th minute, Casemiro helped Cristiano Ronaldo find the net, and score a header equalizer for his team (Real Madrid).

That header was a top-class from Ronaldo, in the left corner of the goal, which Neuer didn’t stand a chance.

There was no one to blame, it was just a top-class play by the Portuguese, the world’s best player.

Only 2 minutes after this equalizer, the  Germans decided to show their true power, and pressured the Spanish team so hard, and after a cross  by Philip Lahm, the ball hit Madrid’s captain (Sergio Ramos) and slid into the goal. Only 2 minutes after Ronaldo’s equalizer header for 1-1, now the result was 1:2 in advantage for the away team.

But this is when the referees decided to ruin the game, or that’s what it looked like. After a CLEAR start by Arturo Vidal to Casemiro, he started on the ball tho, the referee pointed him a second yellow card, which led to a red card, and took him outside the game straight away.

Now Bayern defended the rest 15 minutes with a player less. (10 on the field.)

In the Extra Time, Ronaldo scored a wonderful goal from an OFFSIDE. It was clear as day that it was an OFFSIDE. Here have a look. You decide.

From this point of view and camera angle, you can definitely see that the real decision was not made, and that the arbiter must have called for offside and lift the flag.

Then in the very end, Marcelo opened Bayern’s defence, made some dribbles and assisted Ronaldo to a second goal, which was apparently offside too. Because he passed the ball to Ronaldo IN FRONT of the goalkeeper.. Ronaldo was definitely in offside, but the referee decided to call for goal.

And as that was not tragic enough for Bayern Munich,  Marco Assensio, the young talent of Real Madrid, which entered the game as Substitute to Karim Benzema in the 64th minute, finished the game with a classy curve in the right angle of the goal, which was impossible for Neuer to save.

The game ended 4:2 and 6:3 in AGGREGATE for Real Madrid. Now we will see which team they will face in the Semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

REMINDER: Tomorrow, there are 2 matches that will kick off at 20:45. The second leg between Barcelona – Juventus and Monaco – Dortmund. We never know what happens in soccer, do we?
