Reason Two why Women put up with a Cheating Husband

A young woman married an older man. He had money, he had a position, and she bore him two children. He was unfaithful.

She was very upset and was consoled by the Gardener. He was young, good looking and viral.
The pattern was simple.

Husband was a Professor. Term began in September. He made his ‘selections’ and began his affair(s) in October. This meant he would be ‘working late’. Over Xmas the wife would visit her mother in New York City.
As the Professor would be having a hot and heavy affair for the Xmas break, he would send home the helper and the gardener so that no one could report on his comings and goings or his visitors.

The wife would leave on the 14th of 15th of December, the helper and gardener would be sent home on the 16th or 17th.

The staff would return on the 2nd or 3rd of January, the wife on the 4th or 5th of January.

During Spring Break the Wife would again visit her Mother in New York, leaving at the end of March or beginning of April, and return in three weeks. The helper and the gardener would be released one or two days after the wife, and return one or two days before.

During the summer the husband was home unless he would take his wife and children on some trip.
This went on for years.

Each year, when the Professor left for work, his hours set and well known, the wife and gardener would be together. During the Xmas break the gardener would fly up to New York, (paid for by the wife via the husband’s pocket) and they would be the ‘couple’.

The same pattern was repeated in the Spring.

The Professor would have his Xmas gal; then his Spring gal, admixed with various other females he’s encounter. He never, for one second, thought his wife was having a long term love relationship with the gardener.

Without his pocket the wife and gardener could not have traveled and enjoyed New York City. Without his pocket, the wife would never have the big house and the servants.

So, she stayed with her unfaithful husband because he enabled her to have a love affair.

    • I don't know why us as women put up with our cheating husbands or boyfriends for that matter. But can only speak for myself not for no one else. But I can say I have let that happen to me and I was so hurt then I kept blaming myself about the relationship. It was all to much for me as a female trying to be the bigger and better person when it came to arguments and stuff like that. I feel like we as women need to put our feet down when it came to these so called men. But it depends on how the relationship is going if the relationship is going good and it's only minor things that can be easily fix then......fix them but if it can then seek marriage counseling.

      • I am sure, if the Gardener hadn't been there, and if the relationship between the wife and gardener hadn't been so loving, the wife would have left. As the husband had money, the wife had a high standard of living, the gardener had an easy job, so staying in the relationship made sense.

    • I never would stay with a man no matter how much money he has , who cheats and find his cheating a reason to cheat too.

One cannot correct a wrong with another wrong.

I would rather equip myself with money by working, separate with him and find another man who can love me and not cheat on me. AT least, that way, I will not sin also.

As I have observed, some women indeed would stay with their husband, because they are so dependent on him to sustain a living.

Look at those career women, when they are cheated by their husbands, they separate with them, file divorce, so they can find their right man.

      • I don't disagree, but in the situation I mentioned, it was a peculair kind of relationship in which both the wife and gardener needed the husband's pocket.
