Hi readers! Hope you are a bit hungry and ready for a little chat about….Raspberries! What a cool name for a near fruit. Not too sure the meaning behind the name raspberries and why there is even a P in the word either, but this little fruit has a lot to offer. This is a delicious fruit with a unique flavor. Most of us have either had the fruit or we have had the flavor somewhere in our food like with drinks or desserts or even jams and jellies. The price of this fruit is not cheap. They can cost quite a few dollars per pound or pint. It is probably best to buy raspberries when in season or at a farm or if you come across a great buy one get one deal. As they say, fresh is best!
Raspberries from the store and the ones from a farm are different in taste. Raspberries from the store seem to have a more watery taste and lack some flavor. I usually add sugar to mine. Farm picked and fresh off of the bush tend to have a more fruit like flavor, For some reasons raspberries from the store tend to last longer too due to the pesticides they use to keep the bugs off. Out in the wild, it is all nature. Either place you get your raspberries from make sure you wash them thoroughly before eating.
Raspberries are more of a fruit you eat alone. They really do not pair well with dishes for lunch or dinner. Breakfast meals may be ok for the raspberry. Some like to add it to their cereal or oatmeal and even to pancakes. I would say raspberries are more of a sweet treat fruit. They pair very well with dessert options. Raspberries are best eaten either on their own or in dessert, like atop cheesecakes or cakes. They go well in a fruit salad bowl too.
I hope you will take a look and give the raspberry a chance. It is the summer season here in the states so all sorts of berries are available and you may even find a good deal on them too! Do not miss out on this unique and full of nutrients fruit. You will be happy you gave it a chance.

Raspberries are not just tasty they look pretty too. I prefer them with a bit of cream and sugar tossed in as what we get here are normally a bit sour.

This is sad...but I've never had a raspberry! I just recently had a blueberry for the first time and loved it, so maybe these are next on my list!
