I have often heard people talk about rape, and how the violators go free, but seldom do i hear someone come out and talk about it. this is a very sensitive issue that people would rather go quiet on and not talk about it. But i think it’s high time that people came out and shamed the people who do this sorts of things and still go Scott free.
I believe talking about it gives the person who has been violated closure and they also get their freedom back. and that way they can also educate other people on how to go about it and also heal in the process.
I know there are kids who are raped by their own relatives but they shy off for fear of being rejected, or they feel that they will be judged, or maybe nobody will believe them when they say that they were raped by a relative or a very close family friend. Can this madness be stopped in our society and protect our children? i believe that it can be done when everyone takes up the responsibility to do what they need to do. like parents need to keep a watchful eye on their kids watch their ways how they behave around certain people, talking to your kids is also very important, teaching them on sexual issues am sure a few people will not agree with me on this one but i think it is essential to talk to them about it and also tell them of the consequences of engaging in such behavior, that way i know rape can be a thing of the past.

The worst is when relatives are involved -relatives that kids look up to. It is best kids are warned about to avoid anyone touching them in appropriate places and if that happens they should immediately report, no matter who that person is.
