Why do I prefer writing Spies or Action/suspense stories on various forums and sites

Each one of us has his or her own preference in doing things. Some prefer popular stuff, while others go for offbeat things. I have been into fictional writing now, though not as frequently for some years now.
I prefer writing Spy stories, or Action/suspense stories on various forums and sites.
Now, someone might ask me why I prefer this genre. So, my answers would be:

1)I like the thrills in writing on this genre. Writing the story plots, backgrounds, the intermediate twists and turns, make me feel great and I immerse in writing on these.
Yes, I do at times write stuff like murders, blasts, explosions, that can make one think that I am promoting violence, but those are part of stories.

2)Through such stories, I can give a message that crime does not pays in the end, and that people doing terrible activities are bought to the justice, even though things are much more complicated in real life.
3)I am not comfortable with writing on over the top romance type things. Suppose If I plan to write:
“Darling, I will bring those precious stars from the sky only for you” – the first thing that would come to my mind would be- how will I (or that character) reach there?
Will he go in a space shuttle?
Will he carry an oxygen mask?  LOL 🙂
OMG- and I will become mad while writing such stuff, even though I believe a good writer ought to be able to write at a minimum standard on various genres like Poetry, Tragedy, Comic, Romantic, Thriller, Action, Drama etc.
Still, I have a preference for this genre.

Well, I have written Fictional stories on other sites like Wikinut and Blogjob- big story series and short stories as well, and plan to do so here also.
What about you guys?
