I was already equipped with the power of positive thinking after I had read the book ‘Power of Positive Thinking’ by Norman Vincent Peale but did not realize that it would help me in such a big way.
It was a quiet Sunday. I was at my pc as usual and around 5 in the evening, I heard as though a bulldozer had passed through our property. It lasted only a few minutes. It is only the next morning I realised that it was not a bulldozer but a mini tornado that had struck the area around us. It was struck in a restricted area and had not spread further than a few kilo meters.
I learnt about what a tornado is. It is something that drops from the sky.
There was devastation in our property. An age old jackfruit tree got uprooted as also a few other areca nut trees. Many of the trees had their tops chopped off. One of our water tanks had fallen. A window was seen suspended on its hinges. The electric cables had snapped all over the area which resulted in no electricity for sometime. One of the neighbour’s cables had snapped and had fallen on a live wire rresulting high voltage destroying gadgets of many neighbours.
What looked like devastation did not seem so after I took on it as a project to handle. And handle I did.
I alerted the DC who was kind enough to send his mean. He promised help. . but there was dilly dallying as usual and I became a bit restless. Our maid knew someone who handled such projects. Though at a cost everything was cleared
Instead of going in for another water tank we raised the level of one that was located at another place by using the stand on which the one that had fallen was resting. This provided good water force for the entire area – better than before.
The trees that were chopped started giving new shoots and a few months later we got fruits that could be plucked by hand.
It did not take me long to look at the positive side of this holocaust as in the end it did make life a bit easier for us.
I recommend that everyone reads this book which changed my life.

That is a great book. In fact, it inspires the Secret, which later becomes a life-changing show for many people.
@schenge1 It changed my thinking in a big way and today nothing upsets me in that I always look at the positive side of any event.
I'm glad that nobody was hurt, and that you were able to get everything cleaned up. It must have been frightening to anyone who was caught outside at the time of the storm!
@Ruby3881 None of us were hurt and to think that the tank fell right where we are normally seen.
The is the reality whenever there is devastation and if the concern is not positive of life and does not believe natural disasters then he will surely be down and never wanted to face the truth.Positive thinking leads one to a chance to be happy.
