Pakistan Started poorly and kept losing wickets at regular intervals of the game and were 5 wickets down for only 60 runs in 22 over’s in the form of A Sohail, Saeed A, Y Khan, F Iqbal and M Yusuf. After that Pakistan was bowled out for only 137 runs in 39.3 over’s and only top score is by Standing Skipper Saeed Anwar who made 30 runs in 45 balls with 2 4’s and strike rate of 67 runs in 100 balls.
Pakistan lost the match by 104 runs and was whitewashed in the series by Sri Lanka 3-0.
Marvan Atapattu was both man of the Match and Man of the series for his consistent performance in all mactches.
