Pakistan Blewed the Zimbabwe team

In the Next Quarter Finals of the ICC cricket world cup, Pakistan was against the Zimbabwe team. This game was played on Kenning ton Oval, London, England on 11th June, 1999.

Both teams have played well since now in this ICC Cricket world Cup, 1999. So it would a good contest to witness. Pakistan won the toss and opts to bat first, so Zimbabwe will bowl first and will try to chase whatever Pakistan posts for them to chase in the later part of the match.

And Zimbabwe team and 11 was looking like this in this match: Andy Flower (wk), Alistair Campbell (c), Grant Flower, Heath Streak, Guy Whittall, Paul Strang, Henry Olonga, Pommie Mbangwa, Adam Huckle, Murray Goodwin, Neil Johnson

Pakistan batted superbly well and were able to post a good total of 271 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets with the contributions by Saeed Anwar who made 103  runs in 144 balls with 11 4’s and strike rate  of 72 runs in 100 balls and W wasti who made 40 runs in 42 balls.

Zimbabwe started poorly and were not able to understand the spin bowling of S Mushtaq who takes 3 wickets in 7 over’s by just conceding 16 runs and also of Azhar M who took 2 wickets for only 14 runs in 8 over’s. Zimbabwe were bowled out for 123 runs in 40.3 over’s and N Johnson top scored with his 54 runs in 94 balls and strike rate of 57 runs in 100 balls and hitting 5 4s in the game.

Zimbabwe lost the game by 148 runs and Saeed Anwar was the man of the match for his knock of 103 runs in 144 balls as he was the standout person between both these teams.
