Organs donation – the duty to help others

People want to help each other, but many shy talking about organ donation. There are fears in our mind that make us get confused, feel uncomfortable, like something chase us and wait for our death after we filled in a donor card. Stop fear, no one is chasing you; it’s funny to think that people having donor card are identified in public, or something like this. People disappearance has nothing to do with a donor card.

Since one person can save about seven lives, do not need to count how many people could live on, if people would have made a decision to give a consent for organs donation. In the Europe alone, for the certain organ transplant is waiting 50 thousand people. Every day die many persons not received certain organ. In my country currently is waiting for organ about 800 people. Many people can’t be a donors, about one-third of them fall out on medical grounds, another part – due to the fact that relatives of dead person disagrees to donate an organs.

If you support organ donation and agree that after the death your organs would be transplanted for the transplant waiting people, the easiest way to take care of it – to talk about it with relatives. After there is stated human death, the medics will sure consults with the relatives for the consent to take the dead person’s organs, even if he had a donor card.

Over the past 50 years organ transplantation has spread worldwide and become useful to the hundreds of thousands of patients. Information about the donor card holders may be granted only for donors or doctor after the death of the donor card holder. Donors can become people of all ages. No age and physical condition is important. Are human organs suitable for transplantation, doctors decided only after his death.

Those who doubt or are thinking that it is hard to find how to do it, consult your family doctor to sign the agreement to get a donor card, available at any health care facility. Do not forget that your organs can save the lives of seven people who are waiting for organ transplants in the queue.

For those who are waiting for a kidney, and in some cases, for liver transplantation, relatives can lend a helping hand. Because a person has two kidneys, and normal life is perfectly capable of having a one kidney, person can donate a kidney for the relative or spouse, who is waiting for the transplant. In the liver case, sometimes it is possible to take advantage of the liver’s ability to regenerate and to transplant only a portion of the liver, thus becomes possible the living liver donation.

Medical experience of many years around the world shows that living donor’s transplanted organs naturalize easier that taken from the deceased. Furthermore, with a living donor transplant you do not need to wait in line, and the waiting may take a few years until will be find a suitable compatibility of the human bodies. Such countries as Norway and the Netherlands actively promote living donation.

People living with a transplant, better than all the others know how significantly changes the quality of life after transplantation, and how it is important as soon as possible to receive donation.
