Just now, I went to the freezer to pick out the frozen
fishes and defrost them for dinner.
Coincidentally, I saw a left over tub of vanilla ice-cream that my mom-in-law had bought for my kids
last month.
I don’t wish to see them scooping out ice-cream
from the tub, bad for their teeth.
So, I decided to try a new way to combine fresh fruits
and ice-cream for a delicious and healthy smoothie.
Yup, I finally made this Orange and Apple Smoothie
which is really simple to prepare, ready in 15 minutes
for 2 persons.
It is a combination of fresh oranges, green Apple,
vanilla ice-cream and crushed ice.
You need a food mixer for this beverage recipe.
Don’t use fruit blender because it will separate the fruit
pulps.
This is an ideal refreshing drink for summer or spring.

Why fruits are important?
Do you know that it is vital for our body to absorb fresh
fruit and vegetables daily in order to stay healthy?
It is wise to consume between 3-5 servings of each
variety daily in order to supply sufficient nutrients
to your body, induce smooth skin for teenagers.
Why blending is better than juicing your fruits?
Blending cut up fruits helps to maintain the pulp and skin
which are nutritious for us.
Juicing releases the sugar which is also known as
fructose and separates the insoluble fibre from the fruits.
Noticed the differences?
When you blend fruits with pulps , your digestive system
will take a longer time to digest the nutrition in the fruit
pulp whereas fruit juices is easily absorbed instant like
any carbonated drinks.
Remember to combine vegetables into your fruits.
A combination of apples, oranges and carrots would
enhance the natural sweet taste even without adding
any sugar or sweetener.
Add in 1/2 lemon juice or apple cider vinegar into your
fruits and vegetable mixtures if you are using spinach or
kale which may taste bitter.
Lemon and cider vinegar aid in covering up the bitter
taste of leafy vegetables and enhance the sweet fruity
taste without adding any sugar or condense milk.
Benefits of oranges
In addition, oranges are important for growing kids.
These round fruits help to prevent them from catching
cold, flu, running nose.
In other words, build up their immune system.
Oranges are high in vitamin C which is vital to maintain
healthy bones, build strong teeth for growing kids
Conclusion:
Instead of gulping down cans of carbonated drinks or
iced caffeine beverages, replace them with homemade
fruit smoothie, vegetable and fruit smoothie, cut out fresh
fruits or fruity lassi for a change.
You can change smoothie into a lassi drink by replacing
ice-cream with original yogurt.
Fruit Tip
Another tip that works perfectly for lazy kids and
teenagers.
Wash apples, pears, grapes that need not to peel off skin.
Place them in a fruit basket, on the dining table or coffee
table where they are easily seen.
You will noticed that your children will be munching
away fresh fruits automatically!!

It is delicious but i think first I tell you what is orange and apple? Peel the apple with a knife or a swivel peeler. Chop the apple into small chunks and discard the core and pips. Put all of the fruit, orange juice and ice (optional) into the blender. Blend for 20 seconds or until smooth.
Apples, oranges and grapes provide carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. All three make excellent low fat snacks. You can also add nutrients to other meals by adding these fruits to yogurt, salads or side dishes. All values listed are for one cup of fruit. The skin must be left on grapes and apples for the most nutritional benefit.
