Since the dawn of civilization, cosmetics have constituted a part of the body care routine not only of the upper strata of society but also of people from all walks of life. Cosmetics are care substances used externally to condition or enhance the appearance of the human body by cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance without affecting the body’s structure or functions. Most cosmetics are distinguished by the area of the body intended for application. A subset of cosmetics is called “decorative or make-up,” which refers primarily to coloring products intended to enhance and alter user’s outward looking. These includes make up primer and remover, lipsticks, concealer, foundation, face powder, blusher or blush on, contour powder or cream, highlighter, bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow colorings, and hair setting spray.
Skincare products, on the other hand, are used to improve the appearance and health of the skin. They are formulated to address the different types of skin and associated characteristics and conditions. Skin care products include cleansers, facial masks, toners, moisturizers, sunscreen, tanning oils and lotions, skin lighteners, serums, and exfoliants. Exfoliants are products that help slough off dry, dead skin cells to improve the skin’s appearance. Chemical exfoliants may include acetic acid from vinegar, citric acid from citrus fruits, glycolic acid, malic acid from various fruits, salicylic acid, or lactic acid. Toners are used after cleansing the skin to freshen it up and remove any traces of cleanser, mask or makeup, as well as to help restore the skin’s natural pH. Toners typically contain alcohol, water, and herbal extracts or other chemicals like salicylic acid and/ or benzoyl peroxide depending on the skin type. Moisturizers are creams or lotions that hydrate the skin and help to retain its moisture; they may also contain various essential oils, herbal extracts or chemicals to control oil and reduce irritation. Medicated moisturizers containing tea tree extracts or fruit enzymes can help to control oil production and treat acne. It is important to use sunscreen to protect the skin from harmful radiation from the rays of the sun. Sunscreens may come in the form of creams, gels, or lotions. Soaps and perfumes are usually excluded from the field of cosmetics, although they are commonly manufactured together with cosmetics. While there are literally thousands of different types of cosmetic products, there are actually only 10 different types of cosmetic formulas that are according to the experts of it.
A cosmetic product is generally mixtures of chemical compounds, some come from natural resources or organic materials, while others are synthetic. Organic ingredients are derived from living matters such as plants, vegetables, and fruits. Cosmetic products that contain these ingredients assure you that the products are fresher and with a higher concentration of vitamins and nutrients. They are pure and are expected to cause fewer skin reactions than those products that have toxic, synthetic, or nonorganic ingredients. Moreover, cosmetic products made from natural ingredients do not have much impact on the environment.
Aside from being environment-friendly, why one must go with organic products in the first place? Many of today’s beauty products are made from varying mixtures of synthetically produced harmful chemicals, which can cause redness, irritation, and breakouts. Regardless of whether we ingest them or apply them on our skin, most of these compounds are absorbed easily by the skin. These then can affect our entire health and well-being, causing allergies, hormonal and reproductive issues, and the worst is cancer. In addition, people with sensitive skin often find organic skin care products work better for them. Natural products can offer skin solutions that products in regular skincare lines just cannot complete with, like improved skin clarity and glowing complexion without the use of harsh irritants. Increasing number of parents are choosing organic products for their babies and children as their bodies are still developing. They are more susceptible to chemicals in nonorganic products and are more likely to develop allergic reactions to ingredients such as artificial fragrances. Natural health and beauty products smell like their natural ingredients, not a cocktail of chemicals. Natural health and beauty products are scented using natural essential oils which can also provide aromatherapy.

An officemate told me that a shampoo made of natural products don't have much bubbles when you use it . have prven it to be true indeed when i bought a shampoo made of moringa. It doesn't bubble much indeed.
And i never regretted having bought it because my hair doesn't fall of much already.
Though , I first used it when I also first used the Keratin Hair reborn treatment.
So , i cannot realy say. if t is the moringa shampoo or the Keratin that helped my hair from not falling anymore .
REALLY MA'AM DINA. I HAVEN'T TRIED THAT MORINGA SHAMPOO YET. BUT ACCORDING TO STUDIES, NATURAL PRODUCTS, ALTHOUGH DO NOT HAVE BUBBLES, THEY DO NOT CAUSE MUCH SIDE EFFECTS THAN THOSE OF THE SYNTHETIC PRODUCTS.
I COULD SAY THAT YOUR SHAMPOO AND THE KERATIN WAS A GOOD COMBINATION FOR YOUR HAIR.
Any beauty product will necessarily use hydrogen peroxide, lactic acid, alcohol, salicylic Acid, Benzoic peroxide, and other chemicals which generally cause irritation, rashes and sometimes even more damaging effect to the skin. Though, the sunscreens are not included in the list of beauty products, most of them are generally manufactured along with the beauty products.
One should be more careful while using these chemical beauty products.
my personal experience is that when I used spf 30 as suggested by the salesman in the shop I developed rashes in my face. The face slowly became red and some rashes appeared. Again I contacted the Dermatologist and it took nearly a month to come out of the situation and to become normal.
There are many natural and herbal products available in the market. Better they are used if one wants to enrich one's beauty.
Actually, the artificial beauty product gives good look, appearance, and a glow to the skin instantly which are generally preferred for attending small function and other family get-to-gether functions and are mostly used and necessary for the Actor/actresses and some other people holding some preferred portfolios and they are not at all meant for the Common public and especially for the teenage girls and boys.
Our skin can absorb up to 60% of the cosmetic products we apply on our skin. As a result, the extensive use of traditional cosmetics leads to a chemical buildup in our body. This can eventually cause numerous health problems. To avoid this, we need to move toward a safer source for our cosmetic needs—such as organic cosmetics.
One benefit of it is they reduce your daily burden of chemicals: Conventional beauty products, irrespective of their price, typically contain numerous toxic substances. Daily use of these products leads to a buildup of chemicals in your body. This chemical buildup can lead to varying health problems, as indicated by the following researches.
• According the research conducted by Dr. Peter Dingle, regular use of sunscreen lotions containing oxybenzone and benzophenones can lead increased itching, burning, allergies, and photo-contact dermatitis.
• Off late there have also been studies that link deodorants with breast cancer. These studies indicate that deodorants contain aluminum and parabens that tend to accumulate in the breast and eventually lead to breast cancer.
This is just the tip of the iceberg; cosmetic products have many harmful chemicals. By using organic healthier cosmetics you can be assured that you are not exposed to toxic and carcinogenic chemicals.
Other benefits of organic cosmetics may include:
1. They are safer: Since organic products are made of natural, organically grown ingredients they are unlikely to cause any negative side-effects. You will be able avoid the following drawbacks associated with conventional cosmetics.
• Excessive dryness and flaking of skin
• Aggravation of breathing problems, sinusitis, and asthma
• Allergic reactions such as rashes
• Damage the skin, hair, and eyes due to overexposure to harsh chemicals
• Increased risk of cancer, liver problems, and immune system damages
2. They are more effective: Organic food has a much higher level of nutrients including essential vitamins, minerals, and secondary metabolites such as phytonutrients, flavonoids, and polyphenols. A group of scientists at Newcastle University have found that organic fruits and vegetables have 12% more nutrients than conventional produce. Thus, organic natural cosmetics are often more effective because they are derived from nutrient-rich sources.
