No To Drinking Then Driving

Many months ago , my husband has been entertaining his former high school batchmate who came home from the US. They went drinking in a bar fro two consecutive nights.

Then, the days after that , he again went drinking also with his former officemates.

And during those time , he brings the car and drive it home though not drunk but just smelling a bit of liquor.

But , I was angry that he would drink and drive the car ! And I know , he may meet an accident doing that .

He said that he isn’t drunk whenever he comes home from a drinking outing with his officemates or friends, but just tipsy.

Well, ever since he became my husband I haven’t seen him so drunk and would be vomiting.

So , after those consecutive drinking , one night , he again came home was a bit smelling of beer and he said he just drank two beer.

Amidst his jokes (he is so happy whenever he is tipsy or drunk) , I angrily told him to give the password to his ATM and in his time deposit his co-signatory , to our daughter.

That way, if he gets an accident or would get fatally injured at least our only child , then was just studying Medicine courtesy of a scholarship of the hospital where she is having residency now can have his savings.

To that he wast silent, and went to bed.

I think , he knows that there is truth and sense in what I have just told him.

The next days and even for a month he didn’t have drink with his friends.

And now, he only drinks moderately but assures me that whenever he has a drink he is more alert and cautious in driving.

Oh I really hope so. That’s why I always pray for his safety whenever he goes out to drink .

I bet no one here has a husband who is is like my husband, though now i think he is reformed. Hopefully .

    • I don't understand why people think they can drive while intoxicated.
If happen to be at a bar or someone's house , and knowingly they know you can't drive .
They shoul be held responsible as well , the right thing to do is take thier keys and call them cab . If that person becomes combative then call the police .
Im not a drinker though during flu season . I will make myself a Hottie Tottie even though I hate the taste of liquor.
But that doesn't mean Im going to drink and decide to head too the store all because I forgotten to pick up Halls .

Took them years to make a commercial to serve water with your alcohol.
That they only air every once in awhile.
But they constantly advertise cigarette smoking cause death .
It's funny because drinking and driving kills quicker than Cigarette smoking in my opinion that is .

      • Here , some people can drink and drive and only when they met an accident while being such will they be punished for it .

Sad but that is true here in the Phulippines . Although , all persons should be really responsible in not drinking and driving , because not only will their lives be endangered but those of others they meet on the road.
