Let’s look at my favorite moments of cricket—11th Episode.
This match was played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand on 3rd Jan, 2004. This is the first ODI between these two teams in a new series after the 2003 ICC cricket world cup which was played in South Africa and won by Australia.
So New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first and invited Pakistan to bat first.
Pakistan 11 looks like this Mohammad Sami, Shabbir Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf,Inzamam-ul-Haq (c), Abdul Razzaq, Yasir Hameed, Imran Farhat, Azhar Mahmood, Moin Khan (wk), Saleem Elahi
And New Zealand 11: Stephen Fleming (c), Chris Cairns, Hamish Marshall, Craig McMillan, Scott Styris, Jacob Oram, Brendon McCullum (wk), Daryl Tuffey, Daniel Vettori,Andre Adams, Craig Cumming.
Pakistan made a very bad start As they sent Abdul Razzaq to open the innings with Azhar Mahmood but soon Abdul Razzaq was run out on 22 runs of 32 balls from the hands of Darryl tuffey, only Pakistani wicket keeper Moin khan batted well and made 72 runs of 68 balls with 8 four and 1 six at an strike rate of 105.88 and No one other batted well, captain Inza mam ul haq was out on 19 runs of 35 balls by stock styris who is a very great All rounder for New Zealand team, Pakistan made only 229 runs at the end of allotted 50 over’s and New Zealand batted well and complete this target with 5 balls to spare with the help of a unbeaten century Scot styris who made 101 runs in 108 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 93 and New Zealand skipper St. fleming also batted well for his well made 45 runs.
New Zealand won this game by 4 wickets and take the lead in the series 1-0 with 4 more games to play.
Scot styris is the Man of the match for his all round performance.
