Are you celebrating Mother’s Day today? I don’t know if you celebrate it on 8th May but in India we celebrate it on second Sunday of May every year. We in India celebrate mother’s Day like many other countries such as Germany, Australia, China and Turkey.
There are certain countries like Mexico those also celebrate the day in May, but they celebrate it on a fixed date as Mexico celebrates it on 10 May. My mother is no more in this world but I love her. However, I can’t imagine a Mother’ day without women, pregnancy and motherhood.
There are different reason why people celebrate Mother’s Day but most people, mostly men, have no idea about pregnancy and if they knew anything about it, they would realize the most risky time is during the first three months when a woman is barely showing. Even a slight fall or knock on the way during her walk or commute can cause her to lose her baby.
All said and done but I strongly believe that whatever the reason of celebrating Mother’s Day but the fact is that we are not “Factory Made” people but we are given birth by someone and we all come from somewhere where we live for 35-40 weeks.
We should know that the first 12 weeks of pregnancy are the hardest. A flood of hormones, morning sickness, sore molecules and from six weeks blood supply is directed to the uterus, taking oxygen away from the brain, increasing the risk of fainting. A fainting pregnant lady on a moving car is more difficult to handle, but I managed it somehow when I had to do it a few decades before.
Women in initial stage of their pregnancy need to be more careful. I am talking about women who are interested in kids. Yes, I am talking about someone I met decades before and she is now my wife. She brought two babies in this world, our babies but one did not survive for long. My daughter wished my wife a few minutes before via Skype and I remembered my mom closing my eyes.
So do you think that after everything your mother has done for you or the opportunities she has give to you, hardness she faced during growing you up and saw your moods swinging, the countless nights she kept awake for you and the life given up for you your duty is limited to send her a card or giving her a few flowers? And if that’s supposed to be enough you’re mistaken my friends.
As we say- “My heaven lies right under the feet of my mother” A person that treats her mother kindly and well needs nothing else because he is doing as good as worshiping god.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU ALL

Happy mothers' day to all the lovely ladies out here!
My mother got a hug from me earlier because her daughter does not have money to buy her something. I am not sure if that will make her happy, but she had a teary eyed after because after I hugged her, my cat Mojacko followed, hugged her and even told her something. It was not a meow meow but some word, so she cried. I am not sure if that cry is for me, but I am thinking it is from Mojacko, the cat. One day I will be having something for her and I wish it is not too late.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms!
I wished my mom a Happy Mother's Day but I was hoping to give her a big hug instead.
All mums are the greatest on earth.
Mums had sacrificed her love, time and effort to take care of us when we were little to adult.
We will always stay as their babies in their arms.
A great post to read, heart warming
Moms are a gift from God.
I love my mother so much, without her i am not here in these world...She give me everything i need, food, clothing and shelter,,,i was able to finish my studies thank you so much mom,,,if i could only turn back the clock i want to take care of her..When she got sick i was not at her side because i am far from her but i keep on praying that god wpuld give her long life...But since she is suffering from diabetes she did not make it anymore she passed away already...i coulnt explain what the pain was like,,,losing my mother,,,but little by little i was able to move on..Its gods well..I know my mom knows that i love her so much..She is in heaven already
Hope my late mom was here to guide me along the way, to not make me feel alone, not to lose hope but she was gone forever without any hope of coming back home. I miss her so terribly. If i could only turn back the hands of time you know i would but theres nothing left but a painful and haunting memories. Despite of many trials in life, i have to stand still and stand in my own two feet as i was doing this past seven years without her by my side. The strong hold of our family.
I congratulate all moms of the whole world on Mother\s Day. Actually Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.
Every day should be Mothers Day. Lets make sure we tell our moms and the mothers of our children how special they are to us. If you are a dad, it is our job to lead by example and show them how important Mother's Day is.
Start from the very moment she wakes up to the the good night kiss. This year for example, I had my 6 year old help make breakfast and serve my wife in bed. The look on her face was amazing! And I have more surprises to come as the day goes on.
What I wanted to do today is take a look at Mother's Day. Ask anyone what the most important day of the year is to them and you will get answers ranging from their birthday to Christmas to Election Day. How many will say Mother’s Day? Unfortunately,
I would guess very few. For some reason Mother’s Day gets overlooked or down played a bit. Yes, there are commercials all over reminding you to send flowers or buy mom candy… but where is the real sentiment? It is so much more than a gift, or saying Happy Mother's day, it is about truly letting our moms and wives know how much they are appreciated and cared for
