My daughter was always big on drinking milk, but now she does not like to drink milk.
She eats cheese and plenty of veggies and she is four year old.
I do not have any problems with her not drinking milk so I am not happy about that, just worried about the milk thing. Her doctor did say it is normal but I just want to make sure that I am not alone on this.
One of my few friends told me,if children drink milk it should be unskimmed means full fat milk, but it is not a problem if they do not like it.
Children under five should probably be getting vitamin supplement so milk is not supplying anything they can not get sure that their food is heavily diluted.
Most of the people have heard that the calcium in milk helps people grow strong bones.
And Milk is also fortified with vitamin D,and a chemical typically synthesized by the skin when people spend time in sunlight, which can be hard to get from the diet,as it is naturally found in and only a few foods such as fish, egg yolks and from the beef liver.
Vitamin d deficiency can cause rickets, and a disease in which people develop bent and weakened bones, has also been tied to other problems, such as muscle and nerve ailments.
Milk is a rich source of protein and calories, which is important for growing kids.
And Malnutrition is still a problem, even among children in the developed world.
And forPicky eaters may struggle to get enough protein and calories in their diets, because milk is an easy, nutrient rich way to deliver those calories.
You know Calcium can be found in many other food sources besides milk, including nuts, and beans and green vegetables.
New research also raises questions about the notion that milk actually keeps bones strong.
children who live in countries with lower rates of milk consumption have lower fracture rates than those in milk drinking countries.
And In general, the notion that children need very high levels of calcium to keep their bones strong may be oversold.
Several studies suggest that the impacts made on bones when children exercise or do other physical activity is the main factor in bone growth.
And you all knows that,The best way for children to take good care of bones is to go outside and play.
And although vitamin d is certainly an essential nutrient,it’s does not occur naturally in milk,so other fortified foods such as cereal, orange juice, breakfast and soyamilk are equally good sources. The amount of protein in milk can also be found in lots of other sources, including beans and eggs and vegies.

Milk is good. We always had milk when I was growing up. We were always told it made you healthy and strong. I never thought about NOT drinking milk until I met my husband. I was astounded! You mean there are people in this world who can't drink milk? Yeah. My husband and some of my kids have great difficulty with milk and/or milk products. It's also good that there are “milk alternatives”.
