The plane took off and disappeared on the 8th March 2014. It was a scheduled Malaysian Airline plane goinf from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport in China.
It was a Boeing 777-200 ER.
The last communication was at 01:19 am, Malysian time. Then nothing. One hour after take off, the plane disappeared.
Attempts were made to track the plane as it deviated westwards from its planned flight path. It crossed the Malay Peninsula and at 02:22 it was lost, 200 miles north-west of Penang.
There were twelve Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers from 15 nations on board.
Yet, the manifest showed 228 seats had been sold, not including the two children sitting on their parents’ laps.
Was there an ‘extra’ person on MH370?
Why did the pilot fly South? Did the pilot fly south? Why was the particular area of sea chosen to be searched?
Some say areas farther north and south of the search area should be explored.
Speaking of search, it began in the gulf of Thailand and South China Sea where the last signal was detected. It was extended to the Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea. The belief is that the flight flew south into the southern Indian Ocean.
Australia took charge of the search on the 17th day of March and moved it to the southern Indian Ocean.
The Malaysian government noted that the final location determined by satellite communication was very far from any possible landing site. The assumption was that flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
The Search continued from October 2014 to January 2017. Over forty six thousand square miles of sea. Yet there was no evidence of the plane.
Some pieces of debris found on the coast of Africa and on Indian Ocean islands off the coast of Africa, have been confirmed as pieces of Flight 370. But most of the aircraft has still not been located.
Most ‘experts’ now admit they were searching in the wrong area.
So where is the plane? Why did it go down?
