My dad who had been diagnosed with high blood pressure 20 years ago, had irregular heart beat, palpitation heart beats that drove him crazy.

After consulting with his doctor in charged, he realized that emotions can affect his high blood pressure readings greatly.

How Emotions Kill You

Stress is the most common emotion that affect anyone’s feelings and mood immediately.

Other negative emotions such as negative thoughts, stress and anxiety affect your body in a very tangible ways.

Mental stress can disrupt your heartbeat in a dangerous way, trigger irregular heart beat constantly every day.

For example, sometimes your heart beating goes very fast, you could hear your own heart beat sound in your brain thumping so loud.

Sometimes, you can feel that you heart beat is beating slower than usual, hardly able to catch your breathe, felt as if you can’t breathe properly.

It is alike irregular contractions during labor. That is known as irregular heart beat.

In addition, these irregular heart rhythms are good enough to cause sudden heart attack or stroke, anytime, anywhere.

#Mental Stress

Mental stress is one of the emotions that one could not handle properly in crucial period.

When a person is under a serious mental stress constantly, it will induce lack of blood flow to the heart or inadequate time for the blood to reach the heart in time.

Mental stress suppress more in need of oxygen demand because the heart rate goes up abruptly and the blood pressure shot up spontaneously.

Hence, it increases the chance of developing sudden heart attack or stroke

In the meantime, mental stress also stiffened the arteries, blocking or slowing down the blood flow to the coronary arteries which lead to the heart.

In other words, reducing the blood supply.

Furthermore, mental stress also causes sudden cardiac arrest, that means sudden loss of heart functioning, when the heart stops pumping blood to the body.

This could lead to risk of sudden death.

According to doctors research, patients who are affected with hypertension may increase the chances of contracting strokes if their emotional control is not managed properly during crucial moments. ( Arguments, discussions, debates, meetings, relationship breakdown )

When you are working in the office or outdoor, under the pressure of your superior or your clients demands, you will find yourself under a heavy load of mental stress which is difficult to avoid.

If you do not find ways to reduce your stress, your blood pressure will go up especially in nick of time where everyone is pressing you for answers or solutions.
