@kaylar  I just visited a cocoa farm here in my neighbourhood.  The owner does most of the work as labourers are not available. I felt sorry for this man.

bestwriter wrote a new post, Warming up food 8 years, 1 month ago

What’s in warming up food that it requires to be put up as a blog would be the question anyone would ask reading the title of the blog.  As they say the taste is in eating the pudding. And so please read o […]

    • I am not sure whether microwaving will add moisture to the food as reheating cooked food normally removes the moisture unless it is steamed.

    • Thanks for sharing. Steaming could be one of the best way for reheating the food, especially those dry food which does not contains liquid like pau, bread, etc.
For some Chinese dishes which contains liquid, I just re-cook it with adding in some water.
For the soup, I just put into a small sauce pan and reheat it.
Anyway, there is medical advice that overnight food is no good for health, and could cause stomach cancer. Many experts have explained that overnight vegetable produce nitrite, but nitrite is a carcinogen.
Thus, I advise my mom not to take overnight food too often or even not once. She likes to take overnight food which is too risky for a old age lady, it could lead
to diarrhea, and more serious could lead to gastroenteritis. It is a fatal disease for some aged people, they might fail to be recovered from this disease. For those more healthier one, they still need two to three weeks for recovery.

      • If food is kept in the fridge I do not think it will change significantly. I do that all the time. Steaming it brings it back to freshness.

    • yes, we chinese culture also use wok cover with lid and a big bowl of water pour into the wok, to steam meals or overnight meals too.
Besides that, we also use the rice cooker to warm up overnight food.
Anyway, using your method is cheaper

    • I do this sometimes but most of the time, I will just put the food in the pan and let it heated there. Sometimes I add more condiments too.

    • Nice but we do not eat leftovers at home.We just simply throw the foods in trash.despite we refrigerate the foods, bacteria can still accumulate the area.

      • We have been doing that ever since we had a fridge which means since many many years. Nothing ever has happened to us. I cannot think of throwing food in the trash bin.

    • A good way of heating the food.

    • i dont understand how to do it…my wife prepare it for me

      • You keep water in a vessel and place a colander over it. Place the food in it, close the lid and steam for sometime.

bestwriter wrote a new post, Physiotherapy – need of the hour 8 years, 1 month ago

I was introduced to physio therapy when I had met with an accident a few years ago. I did not even know such a therapy existed. I had a few ribs and two vertebrae fractured. The doctors’ main concern was to […]

    • Not just those having medical conditions but everyone should practice it because of the wear and tear that a body is subjected to as one ages.

    • I have never heard of this theraphy, maybe it is not common here.
Acupunture is common for those knee joints, disability and stroke patients .
Acupunture is done in order to help patients to recover.
      Thanks for sharing your experience

    • Physiotherapy is like an everyday exercise regime for everyone. Given that it works all around our bodies our bones and joints. It keeps every part of the body in workable condition. If say you can’t afford a doctor you can always get some exercise routine from a fun instructor and that should help. You do the exercises right in the privacy of your home without much expense. It’s nice to know that you doing better after the therapy.

    • Yes physio therapy needs hours because it is a very tough job but is very nice. Physical therapy is not alternative therapy. It is a clinical health science. Physical therapists study medical science subjects, including anatomy, neuroscience and physiology in order to acquire the health education needed for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., of patients with physical problems.

The physical therapist works in hospitals, GP (general practice, primary care medicine) practices, and the community. In the vast majority of countries a physical therapist must be fully qualified and registered by law. In order to become registered the physical therapist must have graduated with a university degree in physical therapy or a health science university degree that included a physical therapy course.

A qualified physical therapist is an expert in the examination and treatment of people with cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular diseases; focusing on conditions and problems that undermine patients’ abilities to move and function effectively.

According to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, UK:
“Physiotherapy is science-based, committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery. The exercise of clinical judgment and informed interpretation is at its core.”

I thought it is an entertainment TV segment program where a host is having some blind item. But when I saw it, its the President Rody Duterte delivering his speech in the program of Philippine National Police […]

    • I have seen in politics of all over the world that politicians make scandal war against any lady who is getting popularity among the people or her fans. The Same case is with Leila she is being scandalized by the president of Philippine.

I have read thus that Philippines Senator Leila de Lima on Monday, 7 November, filed a “test case” against President Rodrigo Duterte before the Supreme Court seeking to keep at bay what she calls harassment by the president.

Lima said she had filed a 26-page petition for writ of “habeas data” against Duterte to protect her privacy. “This is a test case, a novel case of transcendental importance. Habeas data is rarely invoked. We are testing the doctrine of presidential immunity,” Rappler reported her as saying.
