ahh… it is not easy being a parent.
It is fortunate of you to have mom and dad who never beat or pinch you.
My mom is different from yours.
If you could, I am sure you would be a wonderful mom to your kids in the near future .
Hopefully you can “Stand” the ruckus that you kids had made because I had…[Read more]

yeah you know, we used to say that “no to spanking” but when the situation goes out of hand, beyond your control, out of your boundary, you just to to whack that little kid to stop all his nonsense once and for all.
It is alike testing your limitation.
Of course, once in a while spanking had to be done not…[Read more]

yes you are right, connection is the key to solve parent and child problems.
Now, most parents are too busy with work that we often neglect our kids attention and needs.
Talking help us to understand better why, how, when, what happened.
Yesterday, my son told me that he didn’t passed up his homework for 1…[Read more]

yes indeed it is true.
Spanking doesn’t work on kids nowadays.
In the past during my time and my parents time, spanking definitely worked out well because we weren’t able to understand what kids are thinking about.
My mom used to hit me a lot because her temper is extremely bad.
She used cane, her hands,…[Read more]

wow, your family members included your own children are different from our Asian culture.

However, she would not encourage or allow her own children to do the same, divorce or remarry and give birth to another child with…[Read more]

You are right…but hope you know some people do someting funny in order to get your attention..most of these funny attitudes will come out emotionally which create a chance for you to look or reply to the attitude displayed by the person

I agree. The attention must have stopped for a reason.

@oksummer/
I agree, when my hubby relationship with his sister had deteriorated, he simply stopped any connection with her and the story ends there itself.
However as the years go by, she wanted to reconcile again but it was too late.
She should had build up the relationship again after a few months not years!
Anyway, it was best off this way,…[Read more]

They say the quickest way to get someone’s attention is to no longer want it. Is this true?

Most old folks at your grandma age needed a special someone to help her. Family members are not familiar with the important guidelines.
However, some people do get a maid to care for old folks too.
Just to save some money on that pay.
I am sure your grandma will be blessed with many many years of healthy life.
Just keep her smiling.:)

I agree…as they say…Age is nothing but a number.
morgoodie replied to the topic Older men in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 5 months ago
I think that if two people love and respect each other than age should not matter. People are more than a number and there are pros and cons in relationships even with those that are close in age. I am not sure if I would have a problem with it personally until the situation arises but if other people want it then it is not my business.

In the past I’ve dated men that were about 10 years older than me. Ā It just depends on the man’s maturity and interests.
I’m happily married to a man that is two years younger than me now. Ā So, I don’t think age should matter.

@peachpurple Now that I’m pushing 50, I can see certain advantages to dating a younger man! But in terms of companionship and conversation, I’ve always preferred my men to be at least the same age as me, or a bit older. (Hubby is an exception to the rule, being several years younger than me.)
If they’re too young, they’re aren’t good at a lot of…[Read more]

for a man to date a young lady with an age gap of 15 years, it must be a miracle of love that had overcome their differences
For me, nope, I would rather date a younger man !
good point. yea after that age, depending on where you both started it can get a bit weird. But if he keeps himself looking fit and young…no problem.
