I love this song, I find it inspiring and poetic. Seems so uplifting especially when you are in troubled and don’t know what to do. Maybe, Simon and Garfunkel made this song to help other people who are in troubled.
The songs of this generations are livelier but lack the inspiration from the lyrics. The songs of golden years are more on heart and meaning and not just the beautiful sound but the beautiful mind.
I totally agree although I find modern music great for when I am going for a run and need something upbeat and lively I don’t think you can beat the 60s and 70s for poetic lyrics and meaningful messages. I love songs that tell a really beautiful story or a sad one even.
