Have 2 blog posts awaiting approval. Hope they are published. One is a getting to know me type of post. The other one is a report on my experience at a social site that LB members may find helpful. This is the part where I learn to be patient. 🙂

    • I have also submitted two blogs. They are pending approval. How much can we expect for a blog of 500 words.

      • I am not sure. I very seldom go up to 500 words. I can’t project the earnings because it seems like it depends on the topic and how well written the content is, and also if others share via social media. Don’t know why but it is taking longer than usual for my posts to get approved. Guess lots are submitting at the same time. How are you…[Read more]

Treathyl FOX wrote a new post, Are You From Royal Blood? 8 years, 2 months ago

Did I descend from royalty? Eh! Probably not!

My dad never made a big deal about his last name. In fact, when he came to America, he even changed the spelling of his last name. When I got older, found out t […]

    • I love this article. My dads side of the family is from royal blood. I never actually took the time to look and go back far enough to see who we were related to. But I know its royalty.

    • I agree with the saying. The Royal Blood is Royal. One may be poor by now but he never goes begging on the street. I have seen many such personalities. The way they move, the way they select friends, and the way they respond to others will definitely make them distinct.

That is why people ask about the Genealogy. It is the foundation. If the blood is not Royal he will be more selfish and businessman-like person. He never thinks about others.

The person with Royal blood always desires to share the good, bad, and the worse with others. He will be a leader. He lives for others and not for himself. They will have dynamic quality. He takes the lead in every aspect of the society. The society needs and identifies them wherever they are. They need not approach anybody for anything.

There is nothing wrong feeling proud of having the Royal Blood

      • Sorry. I respectfully disagree with you, sir. I don’t think there is any such thing as “royal blood”. All blood is the same. We call people “royals” who are kings and queens. But who decided they should a king or a queen? They either made themselves a king or a queen OR somebody or some group of people decided they should be king or queen. But they have the same blood as everybody else. How on earth can you possibly say “The person with Royal blood always desires to share the good, bad, and the worse with others.”? If they want to share the “good”, that’s fine. But they can keep the “bad and the worse”. Why share that with me? I don’t want it!! If I had it, I wouldn’t even try to share it. People would probably throw it back in my face! That’s if they run me out of town first!! 🙁

“The Royal Blood is Royal”. Who said that anyway??

    • Maybe yes I have a royal blood which is maharlika ( during old times, maharlika is what they call to the group of people in higher category like the king which we call datu), but maybe no also, I’m just a timmawa (a category of people which belong to worker or helper). My father side was just an ordinary people in Ilocos while my mother side is said to have bloodline to Spaniards who colonized Philippines for 333 years.

      • I’m not sure that the site where I found the article can really help people trace their roots if they are not of European descent. But I guess if your have records in your country and a way to test your DNA you could know for sure.

    • I don’t like to trace my forebears or my lineage. I am afraid if I have a royal blood. It is impossible for me to get back to those ancestries. Personally, I know I was born to my royal parents as I consider them. They are indeed a royal individual for me. They did their best to rear me up, to educate and to give the bright future which I am enjoying right. I know that is the royal blood I am proud of. The royal blood of my loving and caring parents.

      • Now we’re talking! This is exactly how I feel. I grew up in low income housing and we lived on welfare. But my mom and dad were there for me. They gave wise advice and encouraged me to respect others, obey the law, and strive to live a peaceful life. I have read stories and seen documentaries about so-called royals that did things to their children, their own flesh and blood, that not even animals would do! Quite often the child of royal descent is not even raised by his or her parents. They are just given a lot of things, left to a caretaker not even related to them, and told that one day he or she will reign. When I read or hear the story of a king that gave up his throne, it makes me wonder: ‘Did they figure out what real living is all about and decide to go live their life before it was too late for them to enjoy it?’

    • Interesting blog. Thanks for sharing…never know when my curiosity will pop up and lead me over the horizon.

    • Well, someone from our ancestors were, way back in early 1800s members of a king’s court- so in that way I have some referential connection here.

    • I believe bit in any royal blood because there has been no royal blood on earth because royal blood belong to the prophets family and besides prophets’ families there is no royal blood on earth. It is my point of view.

ccording to a new study of unique last names from around the world, moving in or out of the upper class doesn’t take just a few generations — it takes centuries.

Measuring not just income and wealth but also occupation, education, and longevity, researchers found that upper-class families took 300 to 450 years before their scions fell back into the middle class. Throughout society, poor families, taken as a whole, took an equal amount of time — 10 to 15 generations — to work their way up into the middle class.

In England these name are royal as In England, those aristocratic names included Atthill, Bunduck, Balfour, Bramston, Cheslyn, and Conyngham.

    • Royal blood is my royal family, that is the royal to me, royal is just word means nothing but respect to the older people like parents and grandparents, that is what royal means and I am so proud of them and my family that I am raising now, we all proud of who we are and we are royal in our humble way.

My BB activity is just to help a friend. My only complaint with LB is how long it takes to get a blog post approved. But I figure it’s a situation where there are “So many posts. So few editors.” As such I don’t complain because every blog post that I have ever submitted has been approved. The longest I’ve had to wait was 48 hours. Eh! Tha…[Read more]

For some reason I’m OK with 300 words, but the 400 words requirement is causing writer’s block for me. I wrote for other sites that had the same requirement. But when I found sites that only required 300, I’m like … Forget about it! I’m going for easy street!  🙂

shaloo walia ~ I don’t know what it is but I am having problems at the site. It’s acting kind of quirky. Will have to recheck later. It’s probably easy to reach the $5 pay out. But after that how easy is it to reach the $15 pay out. Also, you can’t earn for commenting, like here at LiteracyBase. Am I right or wrong about that?

Treathyl FOX wrote a new post, Binge Watching Television Series 8 years, 2 months ago

This question was asked in another forum. Supplied my response and decided it was a topic that would be fun to blog about.

Binge watching is a luxury of the new generation.

We had no such thing w […]

    • No producers that telecast their programmes on tv would be happy with me as I hardly do justice to their efforts. I have much too much to spare time to spend it in front of the tv. I truly envy you.

    • Oh I’m not really in front of a TV. I’m on my laptop. ( My husband is a TV hogger. 🙂 But he’s a nice TV hogger. 🙂 ) The good thing about is that I can work between two browsers. One browser has my show that I’m watching. The other has my work that I’m doing. The sites I’m using have advertisements. When they break for the ads I can switch over and do some work. I also switch in between because it breaks up the boredom of my daily work routine.

Most of the time though, I try to wait until after my work day is done before I treat myself to the luxury of binge watching. On a holiday (because my family would get upset if I worked!) or on a self-imposed “day off” (where I just have to take a break from my labors), I might just lie around the house watching a show. It’s my way of treating myself for being a good worker. I earned it! 🙂

    • If I can remember back in th3 days when we only got to watch tv in the evenings for like two hours then we are told to go to bed by our parents because the following day was a school day. The only time we could watch tv from the afternoon was on the weeknds because there was no school then. When I finsished school I was free to watch tv until midnight so I would watch all the movie that came on and the could only run for a maximum of two hours that was the longest becaus the tv stations used to close at twelve midnight, there was no 24 hour tv station those days. When th3 digital are came by we are now on full swing but the urge of watching tv is not there anymore. There is too much to be done where will the time to watch tv come from when you come home in the evening you ar3 so tired all you want to do is low on your bed an just enjoy the silence after a long days work.so in short I am not a tv binge at all in fact my eyes tire so fast so I can hardly keep up.

      • I remember back in the day when if you missed a show, you had to wait until they started showing the reruns. Now they have TV shows on Netflix and you can watch not just one show but the entire series, at your own convenience. I was a TV baby, grew up watching TV. Don’t know what life would have been like without the television. (I say that because my husband grew up without a television. He can tell what it was like. He was happy if he had money to go to the movie theater.) I was infected with the “TV bug” from a child and never got rid of it! Binge watching was made for people like me. 🙂

    • Watching my favorite TV series? No. But while writing some articles or narrative stories or even news item, I don’t want to be disturb. But its hard to be not disturb especially when you have five hyper active children in your and always playing and shouting, no more binging.

    • I had 11 children. They are all grown now. Binge watching was something I could not do while raising them. But now they are on their own, I can enjoy treating myself to this luxury. I can’t travel or go out much any more. Between finding music on YouTube and binge watching TV shows that are streamed online, I am happy happy happy!
