    • Thanks for sharing the info about Chinese New Year traditions. You seem to know a lot. Are you Chinese (or have it in your background) or were you just exposed to a lot of the culture? My husband has a Chinese uncle but the most he knows about the Chinese culture is how to eat the food! 🙂

Sorry to hear that you are living alone, but then, without money, your family members would be suffering too.

My teenager is working in Singapore, living alone too. She hates working but for the sake of earning money to pursue her studies, she had to do it.

I am sure you are the same too

peachpurple wrote a new post, Homebaked Tidbits: Cornflakes Almond Slices 7 years, 10 months ago

I love snacking on tidbits when I watch my Korean dramas online.

However, not all tidbits are healthy especially those packed chips and granola bars sold in the hypermarket.

It is either overloaded with […]

    • Preparation appears to be interesting. Granola Bars it appears to be more costly though they are healthy and tasty.
Preparing such dishes at home will be safer as most of them will be overloaded with sugar/Salt and if we cook them at home we can prepare them as per our required amounts of sugar and salts.
But, what I want to do is avoiding essences. Purchasing Almond roasted one appears to somewhat lessen the burden. I do not know the temperature required to roast the pieces. So, I would like to purchase the roasted ones only.
Cornflakes and Oates are also good for health. However, putting them in a mixie to make them into a fine paste is a good idea. Most of the times I soak them in Milk or any Chocolate for 10 minutes before I eat them.

I want to try these Granola bars at home.

    • Is that a picture of the one you made? It looks so mouth watering that i am actually salivating just looking at it now.

However, seeing the procedure and lots of ingredients deter me from trying it as I am not adept in using the oven at home because eversince it was bought many years ago , no one tried using the oven and even the rotisserie.

I guess Ijust have to buy a granola bar when I passed by the supermarket tonight after our dismissal from work. Surely, it will not be as delicious s yours but I am sure it will satisfy my craving, elicited by this post and picture of yours. ha ha ha

We all know how to deal with the colleague when we are working in the office, but what if both of you and your husband/wife are self employed, work from home, how to deal with your “other half” colleague wit […]

    • Ok. I agree with you. The less we talk the less will be the quarrel. If there is any quarrel for a short while it only makes them coming out of their emotions and make them healthy as most of the times both will be conversing online only.

    • That is really a nice set-up for couples who are both self-employed and are just at home working.

True, each one should have their workstations and have their own space. Having the same workstations can muddle up their works specially when there are a lot of documents to deal with.

Having a board of each one’s work schedule will also facilitate each one’s ease in understanding the busyness of each one at the designated hours thus needs not be disturbed and won’t hurt the other one, when he doesn’t answer to her queries and vice versa.

    • THAT WAS NICE TIPS FOR COUPLES WHO ARE BOTH WORKING AT HOME. IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE THEIR OWN WORKING ROOMS/STATIONS AS YOU HAVE SAID. AND ALSO I AGREE THAT BOTH SHOULD TALK ABOUT THEIR SCHEDULES.

    • It would be great to work at home with your husbandwife . but you have to make sure your not disturbed cause its not to easy to focus with your love ones around and take things a serious as you would if they weren’t around. And I agree when having your own two separate environments to work in you can get your job done better.

    • When I was a kid, making lanterns was a totally fun activity! But we only made lanterns around Halloween time. Didn’t know anything about Chinese New Year. Now that I know about the holiday, I no longer make lanterns. Unlike Peter Pan I grew up. 🙂 But I must say the lantern pictured in the video is gorgeous! It’s much fancier than the ones I used to make when I was a kid.

      • hi Treathy, looking forward to read more on your type of lanterns. We enjoy making it during Chinese New Year and Moon cake Festival which about mid autumn season.
