Everybody likes to have a pet that is a good thought. But the next question is after the pet arrives do you really have the time and energy to take care of them and their needs, are you able to spend time with them along with the family and do all the members in the house like pets or not?

Cheerful, easy to train and eager to please, the Golden Retriever is what you see in the dictionary when you look up “Perfect Family Dog.” They draw admiring looks – and usually loving pats – from almost everyone they meet. The breed’s loyalty, intelligence and stable temperament have made them the darlings of the service dog world.

Dina wrote a new post, Homelessness , Is Not Only Prevalent In The Philippines But In Other Countries Too 7 years, 8 months ago

I thought it’s worst here in the Philippines , because there are a lot of homeless people in the streets , in the evacuation centers or at any vacant spaces where they build a very small shack , that at a gust o […]

    • Well yeah, homelessness is a global phenomenon. It probably is in correlation with how capital minded a goverment/society is. Sure the goverment will make homeless shelters and soup kitchens but that sure as hell isn’t enough. I’m from europe an the last few years there has been a stream of immigrant from the middle east because of this the goverment has done even less for our homeless patriots, who don’t commit crimes. It is like they have been forgotten. After all we all know how politicians act, for them it is the public eye that matters not a heart of compassion.

    • When Jesus said “The poor ye have always with you”, He wasn’t saying to ignore them and not show charity. The greatest gift is love (or charity).

For every country that exists that has governing leaders and/or rich people, there is no excuse for homelessness.

It’s true, there are some people who create their own bad situations in life and end up where they end up. No matter how much you try to help them, they just stay down.

But most often homeless people live the way they do because they have either always been poor or were once financially sufficient but have fallen upon hard times. There are those who have the power to extend a helping hand, but they are too selfish to be bothered. They have other “priorities”.

Many religious organizations or charity foundations do what they can to address this social problem. But there are people in government positions who actually have a job where they are supposed look out for the welfare of the poor citizens and they don’t do their job! But they still get a paycheck. There are other people who have more than enough money and can donate the funds – I said DONATE – to create homes, serves food, etc. It’s their money. You can’t tell them what to do with it. If they choose to turn their heads and look the other way, it’s their decision.

Homelessness is a problem than can easily remedied.

Homelessness, “the have-nots”, exists because of the selfishness of “the haves”.

Dina wrote a new post, Shopping and Eating Goes Hand In Hand ? 7 years, 8 months ago

Do you notice that whenever you go to the mall to shop , your tendency is to eat in any of the restaurants or food outlets of your choice ?

Although your main agenda of going to the mall is to shop for some […]

    • Hi @Dina, lovely first blog here. Hope this will encourage you write more here, I am looking forward to read more articles from you.
Nice to read your shopping and eating out experience. I think if would like to analyse the logics behind why shopping and eating are always hands in hands, I have few ideas to share here.
First, shopping mall is a fully air-conditioned environment, it make us feel cold, and make us utilise more energy, thus we will feel hungry faster than usual or when stay outside.
Second, shopping need some energy too, which walk up and down will consume some extra energy of us, we can walk more if compared to than in a park which without our knowledge. Thus, we feel tired after a whole day shopping activity.

Third, the promotions offered by the restaurants or eating outlets will make us feel carving to the food although we are not hungry at that time. That’s why better not go to shopping mall if really tight of budget… haha!

      • It’s nice to see you here too. I think,I will be writing more here because I have seen common friends from the other site where we write too.

I certainly agree on all those factors you enumerated as to what makes us like to eat when shopping.

And true, we should go to the mall whenever we have a lot of budget or like I said when we are still full from the meal that we have eaten. But even then , when we are at the mall, we fastly get hungry because of the eating joints we pass by. ha ha ha

    • Seldom I join the two .When I shop, I do not dine. I cook my food for know well what I am cooking. It is not advisable to always dine outside of your home. The foods prepared by fast foods contain recycled cooking oil, fries are bad for our health, they contain carcinogens due to its way of cooking and others there. I seldom dine outside.I am a choosy type in terms of food, It is not nice to feel something malicious to our body,Let us protect our body and health.

      • Good for you that you are that determined not to eat those unhealthy foods. I sometimes crave for them , so even if I will not be shopping I will drop by the mall , which is at the very place where the jeepneys going to our place are waiting for passengers.

So , you know why I am tempted at times when dismissal comes.

Though, most of the time , I eat veggies and fish.

    • Sometimes we are setting our mind not to eat unhealthy food specially when we go shopping. But time is running so fast and we do not notice that we already spent lot of time going around.Even if we say that we already rush on buying items that we need. When we get tired and hungry, We have no choice but to pick something which is being served fast. Then we will end up eating at fast foods or food carts.

      • That is so true. When one is already so hungry, the speedy way is to eat at those fastfood joints. Although, we can compensate the “unhealthy foods we have eaten, by having an exercise once at home already. In addition, we should eat a fruit and drink lots of water so those fats taken in can be swept away by the fruit when we are able to eliminate our waste inside the body.

Besides, at fastfoods the cost is cheaper than in regualr restaurants.
