This is a horror story by all standards. How could you have stuck for so many years. Did you not have choices to leave that job. There are sadists in the world but when they happen to be bosses you are right in saying what you have said here.

I remember Netscape and using the YAHOO search engine. Don’t know when I started Googling but I rarely use any other search engine. I also remember AOL. Used to have a couple of eMail accounts. AOL dropped off my map a long time ago!

In our place, people often mistaken the wordcheap from being thrifty. It’s not bad to be thrifty as long as the quality of the thing or services you are purchasing will not be affected. In fact, there’s a saying that “save penny for the rainy day” but as always, too much is bad.

Thrift is using scrap paper for scratch paper. Taking old documents or messed up ones, and using the back for notes. It doesn’t take from anyone or oppress them. Being cheap is expecting employees to bring their own toilet paper.

Silence sometimes is too loud. It shatters because you want to hear someone saying that you are right or you are on the right track.
There is a phrase ‘strong and silent’ which conveys a deep meaning.

Most times I do heard about silence as people relates it meaning as “YES”.

But I try when I compared it to myself as to some time I can easily ignore someone and kept silence at him or her because of his/her loquaciousness. Then that reminds me that I don’t need accept everything people says about something but to actually give it a response which may sometimes means silence to them.

Anyway to some people silence means yes but to others contempt.

I do this often too especially when I am talking with someone who insists what she is saying when obviously, it is just plain stupid.

I just want to share my favorite quote about sîlence by Aristotle: “Be silent unless you can say something that is more useful than your silence.”

You have just nailed it. that is exactly how i would have put it if i was to write such a piece i agree with you. nowadays i think people use silence more as a weapon of scone or disagreement. i won’t jusmp at you and start arguing with you that something is wrong i will just be quiet and that will definitely tell you something. Then there are also people people who will be silent say to their partners when they have been wronged thus (the silent treatment) you talk to me and i don’t answer that can be very annoying but it works sometimes.

An intelligent person will notice that you aren’t responding and stop talking. A fool won’t.

For beginners like me, it’s really hard to identify which site is a scam or not. The only thing we can afford to do is to research in the internet reviews of that site and some review sites are paid. hayy

The key is not to restrict oneself wholly on one site but access and use different sites. Go for personal blogging site, PTC site etc too.

I really don’t know about writing online scam but this post has made me know something like that exist. I guess before one keeps venturing into writing online, he should sure to contact people that has been paid by the online writing. Writing down seems to be the secret of getting anything retained in one’s brain. I never did it when I was studying. May be I should pass this on to students who I may come across.

I actually do this kind of stuff. I read my notes every night then when the exam day comes, I usually remember the part of my notebook where I wrote it and I am somewhat amazed with myself in that manner 😀

I always used to tell myself in school, that being attentive in class is a plus for everyone. When the teacher is teaching always take notes and listen. The best thing you can do for yourself is be a good listener that way everything gets in and you don’t forget what you have been taught easily.then when you go home go over what you ha e been taught that day. It may also help to read ahead of the teacher so that when they come to class all you need to add the knowledge that you will get from the teacher.
