How will you answer the question that is outmoded- What is self-reflection?

Self-reflection has been studied and analyzed by philosophers and psychologists in the same way for a period of times. Although there […]

    • You are absolutely right about this. Let me just take an example here where when we go to church and people are in the mood for prayer, we are usually told to take time and reflect upon our lives. My understanding of this is that self reflection is all about looking into your life and seeing what it is that your doing in your life. Could you be doing something that is not right or getting into things that are not right? So when you start looking at this things and just checking your attitude towards people and the way you treat them is also reflecting on your life.

      • Yeah, probably. Self-reflection can be seen through the things we are doing and you are right, our self-reflects through our attitudes.

    • For me , self reflection is the way people sees you with the ways that you are doing , saying and thinking.

When someone posts at FB for example Godly quotes, it reflects the personality of that person as being prayerful.

But if one acts ill mannered, it somehow reflects how that person was raised by his parents or may have experienced violence in his life.

      • You said it right ma’am Dina. However, not anytime, all the actions that a person doing is the reflection of who really he is. Some are showing goodness but at the back of their mind, they are thinking badly.

I will give an example of a woman who applied as a maid particularly here in Baguio but she is from another place. At first, she was so kindhearted, humble, and as if a trustworthy person. After a few months of staying as a maid for a good family, she killed the daughter of her employer and then went away taking all the things that are valuable and useful to her.

So, I concluded that not all the actions shown by a person is real and it doesn’t reflect who she is. We should not judge a person by how she acts in front of us. They might be deceiving us.

How can the Bible improve your life?

The Bible is no ordinary book. It contains advice from our Creator. (2 Timothy 3: 16) Its message can influence us profoundly. In fact, the Bible states: ā€œThe word of God is a […]

    • When I study the Bible it surprises me how much is in the book that is going on right now in our time, wonderful stories to be read if I come across something I can’t understand I try my best even as much searching on the computer what something meant, it’s nice to go to myself and study and read and try to understand gods word. Something every beleave should try to do as often as they can.

    • I have already read the whole bible 2 times. Now, I would read verses to keep me refreshed about the words of God.

The Holy Bible keeps me guided in my thoughts, words and deeds.

I read phrases from the bible when I am feeling disappointed, sad or with a problem. It never fails to enlighten my troubled mind.

The Holy Bible taught me how to be forgiving too.

And you are correct, it helps us have a better life, because despite having some problems, they seem lighter to solve. šŸ™‚

    • The Bible is the world’s best selling book. People find solace and comfort reading it. To many it serves as a guide to their daily living. Giving meaning and purpose to their life. I was raise in the Catholic faith, have read the Bible and use to attend church services and activities. Unfortunately as I grow older doubts and disenchantment with the church made me leave that institution. I still believe that a higher power exist but not in the way the Bible describes.

    • You have a taste for antiques my friend. I don’t.

Even with the designs of houses, I am not into the antique ones. I like the contemporary ones with minimalist touch, so the house will have the illusion of being spacious.

I don’t like furniture that are darkly colored mostly brown as antiques are. I like furniture that have colors that makes the house appear bright and spacious.

But good thing I don’t have a taste for antiques because they are expensive. he he he

    • Dear @Dina, thanks for reading and commenting my blog. I love to have you here.
I believe you going to cash out this month end too, right? Glad to seeing it happened to you and me.
The reason why I love those old stuffs, first, I think it is a waste if just throw them away or into the dustbin. It is not environment friendly, and wasted of the limited resources we have on the earth, right?
It just a choice of lifestyle, yeah, I go for postmodern style too sometimes, it depends. You are right, we are all try to be minimalist touch, but having said that, I think my house is a bit messy with some old books stuck in my book shelves recently, sigh!
Again, you are right again, I think my hunted goods are not antique too, as I am not affordable, I just shopped and hunted for old and unwanted goods of other, I guess. Haha!

    • I love antiques or second hand finds. I visit the flea market once a week usually.

    • I love second hand hunting someone’s trash is someone’s treasure goodwill stores are a great source of second hand treasures. I’ve got a friend that was remodeling her kitchen she wanted a unique island and found a second dresser made of cherry she sanded down restrained and put a granite top on now it is the showpiece of her kitchen. Yard sales are great spots for hunters as well. Nothing like finding a nice piece taking it home and making it into a great piece of furniture.

Back to your question, what I send to my daughter for lunch, right? I donā€™t send, will ask her to bring along in the morning, she just need some snack for tea break or recess time only. She will go home at 1.00p.m, so no lunch box needed for this year.

I try to reduce the carbohydrate content food for her, as she is a bit overweight and this caused she has foot ache.
I try to give her more vegetables and fruits beside some cakes, noodles, chapatti. šŸ˜›
