All the working people hope can go off on time every working day, however the jobs seems never endless and overtime is required. If one always over time after work, this will surely affect his/her after work life, he/she will have not enough rest or sleeping. For someone with family, this might affect his/her family life and relationship when the children unable to see their parents face often.
Thus, having a highly productive working style in order to finish the jobs on time and before day off is the key to have a work life balance lifestyle.
Here are some tips on how to increase your work productivity:
1. Concentration. Only concentrate and do one task at one time. Everyone always think they are multi-tasked they can handle a lot of tasks in hand at one time, this also showed they are very capable.
In fact, this is not true. Doing few tasks in hand will only made you in a mess and lose your concentration, until you unable to finish all the tasks when day off.
Thus, finish one by one, you might find getting one task done might only take half an hour each.
2. Set a specific emailing section. We might have many emails flow in during the office hour. You should allocate two or three specific sections, say morning, after lunch or before going off for read and reply the emails, not other working hours, so you will be able to do more productive tasks.
A tip on shorten the emailing time. Reply and mark your important emails, so won’t waste your time to read and read again your emails to get the points.
3. No chat and snack during working hour. Chatting around and snacking will decrease your productivity, and you have not enough time for working.
4. Reduce attendance to those not necessary meeting and discussion. Meeting and discussion are very time consuming and have no conclusion sometimes.
Try to avoid those non-productive meetings, and just read the minutes.
All these tips help to have more productive working hours, in order to take your after working life back to your control.
