If you own a website, and if you do not think of SEO either from a technical point of view or the content, your chances of appearing in the result pages of Google will go done drastically. Before long, the […]

    • @Rajaraman K

PPC seems to have a slight edge over SEO But as you said one could use both and get the best position.

    • Yes, the main problem on internet to increase the readers is a problem for the newbie but those who are expert may earn easily money online using different means. They earn because they have spent their life in the world of internet and have ample experience of doing something on internet.

This research makes it clear that it’s very important for your brand to have a strong presence in the search engines, ensuring that you’re in front of your target audience. However, there’s still a big decision to make – whether to use SEO (Search Engine Optimization, or naturally ranking high in the organic results) or PPC (Pay-Per-Click ads, the Sponsored Links and purchased ads on a Google search) to get in front of your target?

PPC’s true strengths are its speed and expansiveness. With a PPC campaign, you can be on the first page for a multitude of targeted terms within a day. However, the terms can cost anywhere from pennies to many dollars per click; also, for a PPC campaign to be done correctly, it’s usually best to hire a firm that can manage it full time.

This can mean that PPC campaigns can get very expensive, very quickly – especially when done correctly.

    • SEO is not only about optimizing your website and content to rank higher in organic search results for targeted keywords on the most impactful search engines; it’s also about being an authority on the problem at hand and the solution you provide. The major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing look at how people interact with your site, if they come back, and if other sites are linking to your website pages (along with a few hundred other factors).

PPC (Pay Per Click), on the other hand, is all about paying for advertising space for specific targeted keywords on search results pages. But make no mistake, there is a great deal of search engine optimization when creating a paid ad campaign.

Again, it depends. Your long-term web marketing strategy should always include search engine optimization. The major advantage of SEO is that statistically it brings you better quality traffic leads. In fact, many users have subconsciously trained themselves to ignore “paid results” entirely when browsing the web or searching on Google.

There are mountains of data that suggest “Natural Search” visitors to your website are far more likely to trust you, your business, and your products & services. Ranking highly in Google for a keyword or phrase is a clear sign that you are a credible source and that you are an important player in your industry.

But do NOT fool yourself into thinking that SEO is free. No matter how you look at it, SEO comes at a cost. Whether it’s your own time or hiring an outside vendor to manage your SEO strategy, SEO does come with a cost.

Rajaraman K wrote a new post, How Safe you are on Facebook? 8 years, 5 months ago

The popular social network Facebook currently has well over one billion daily users worldwide. Yes, a billion. It is, therefore, no wonder that criminals are doing their best in different ways, trying to lure […]

    • @Rajaraman K I do not think many are aware of the ‘Lastpass’ programme which seems to take care of security guarding our passwords.

    • Over the years many of us have come to love Facebook and spend unprecedented amounts of time on the world’s most popular social networking site. But even in 2013 it’s worth thinking about our safety on Facebook and taking a few steps to make sure that we aren’t giving away more information than we want to.

Take a look at our top 10 tips to stay safe on Facebook and don’t forget to share these tips with your friends and family!

It’s not all about the numbers of friends. Remember when you accept a friend request you provide your new friend with access to lots of information about you. This includes, posts, photographs, messages and all the background information that you write about yourself. You can delete friends at any time, so perhaps it’s time to refresh your list and think about who you really want accessing your information.

Ask yourself what you want to achieve with your profile. Is it just to share photos, or keep in touch with people, or even to share links and updates of your activities? Sometimes it’s better to cut down what you show on your profile; this includes signing up to applications which also take a lot of your data. You can always add or remove options as you go, so if your needs change, so should your profile.

    • Facebook is the fastest growing social networking site in the world today with up to 250,000 new users being added every day. But sharing information has lots of risks including your name which can be accessed by others and your profile can be viewed.

Anyone can get valuable information and private photos from your profile — ultimately getting you in big trouble. You can keep your misfortunes down to a minimum by following these steps.

Always monitor pictures that other people put of you and tag you on. You can see the tagged pictures of you by going to your profile, click on “Photos”- you should see “Photos of You” and the number of tagged pictures.

Click on that, and look through the pictures. You should be able to un-tag any unappealing photos of you, but people still have the ability to see it. Don’t hesitate for a second to “un-tag” yourself from pictures that you do not approve of. Simply click

“Report/Remove Tag” under the “Options” on the bottom of the picture. Also if you think that the particular picture could put you in a compromising situation, consult whoever put it up and ask him or her to remove it immediately. If they are your so called pals they should comply with your request.

This refers to pictures such as: Dancing-on-the-bar pictures or candid shots of the last time you got hammered with your pals on happy hour. Don’t be caught with drugs, especially if you’re underage because anyone can just print out the picture and show it to your parents or principal.

You cannot edit your blog post once it is submitted. There is no provision given by the ‘admin’ for this. The only option is that you can ‘proof read’ your post before submitting. That’s all.
