I was sure they were gone, all their stuff taken down.  I don’t know why people are trying to scam us so much.  Many people here are not in America and really… what do they expect to get? A VISA..? Don’t they realise most people are NOT American?

In the USA, since 1863, we have celebrated Thanksgiving Day on the last Thursday of November.

Here is a little bit of background information about this national holiday:

    POTUS George Washington’s Th […]

    • Thanks, Giving Day is celebrated in the U.S with utter devotion to the deceased elderly people, religious heads, and loved ones. Each country is having its own way of celebrating it. In the U.S it is celebrated remembering the elders and the loved ones. The big gathering will be there. All fat meals with varieties of food mark the day of the Thanks Giving Day.

It is being followed as a custom and Tradition all over U.S So, if anybody wants to celebrate it with different orientation the significance of the very celebration becomes questionable. I think it would be appropriate to allow it flow freely binding all the U.S citizen together.

    • We usually have it on New Year’s eve, to have good life, more blessings ahead. A basket or fruit tray is filled with 12 different kinds of round fruits to signify a year-long abundance.

With the introduction of Smart, T.V everybody is preferring seeing them on even bigger size T.Vs. They are allocating more space on their wall exclusively for this arrangement. Moreover, this has become a status symbol.

Mahesh wrote a new post, Loss of Productivity due to Social Media 7 years, 7 months ago

We all spend a lot of time on the social media. And that time collectively gets lost. And though at some point in time we assume that we can recover it. But in reality we can’t really get that time back. We just […]

    • I agree partially with the view. No doubt social media is causing a distraction. But, it depends on the type of members, friends, groups we chose on the social media.
Sharing some news item of the NYT is not a waste of time and it is not also reading it. Only, important news will be shared. How much time one spends on the Internet is also a point of concern as it depends on your areas of interests. If you are interested in DIY projects you will definitely go through it and share it. If you are interested in Woodworking it is not a waste to read the information relating to various skills. Similarly, to know about various dresses and fashions.

This is not a waste of time.

Sometimes, important information, social gathering of friends, meeting, get-together etc., are shared which is necessary for everyone to know about the moment of your social circle.

It is a waste of time if one goes on reading each and every post living in a hallucination. Read as fast as possible, share if necessary or leave it. Comment if necessary on a post otherwise leave it. Go through the posts of your friends and try to comment if they are really having any stuff. But, most of the people waste their on FB unnecessarily not allocating certain time for each and every category. This is waste of time.

They do not share what their friends and relative has posted but evince interest on the posts written by someone who is not concerned with him at all in a social gathering. This will definitely hurt and damage the social relationship.

Sometimes, people will be spending time reading the comments. There will not be anything just they post something very irrelevant or filled with provocative photos. It is necessary to spend time or offer comments on them. I do not think so. Try to share as much information as possible from your friends. Is it necessary to share a photo/videos that distract the attention of others and provokes one religion against the other? As a civilized person, there is no need to share it at all on the social media. Read only those posts which are unique and useful. Do not comment where there is no need and you have nothing to do.

Whether it is social media or any regular site, do spend some time on it with a definite amount of time say 2 or 3 hrs. But, not more than that.

Every social media site should be allotted a certain amount of time only and the job must be finished in the time prescribed for yourselves. Otherwise, this may certainly be a waste of time spending on social media sites.

    • not all the socil media aare good, some are nonsense and do not help in anything and do not bring you views

    • I think that social media is a great way to network with other people and businesses. It depends on how you use your time on social media. If you are just on Facebook, looking at your news feed and replying to posts, that may be a waste of time if it is excessively done but all of those commenting on posts and reading posts may also serve as a helpful tool for some as well. I find it to be kind of therapeutic. I have also found some of my long lost family and friends on social media, so it is not a total distraction fro actual life. I dont think any kind of computer use, excessively, is healthy but it also depends on the person. I think what takes most of our time is people and their need for us, at least that’s my experience with why I don’t get much time to myself.

    • How i wish i could learn how to swim to enjoy the relaxing water on the beach 😉

    • You are very right about this. Many people don’t really know the benefits of swimming, but you have brought it out so clearly. The one thing am shocked about is horse riding I never knew that it exercises the whole body? In fact I did not know it’s a way of exercising the whole body. Is that why western countries love to go horse rides? In my country very few people can afford horses or even go for horse rides they are pretty expensive and are popular among the elite in the society.
But swimming is open for many many people it’s quite affordable and available all over the country. There are those who are fortunate enough to be able to put up houses that have swimming pools where their families can enjoy the outdoors. Do those who cannot afford that we have schools that offer swimming as a curriculum in the School, or some public swimming pools all over that offer swimming at a fee. We also have clubs and gyms that also have this facilities for their members. And this is very good it helps quite a number of people who are willing to keep fit. I used to think that swimming was just a sport to pass time until i went for lessons once and was given the benefits of swimming. It’s amazing what it does for your body all round. I loved my lessons but I did not pursue it as such. It’s only when i go on holiday that i remember about swimming. When I get to the beach and the water is looking all nice and cool, i always want to jump in and do whatever I need to do. But I can only do that with a floater on for safety just in case of anything. Thanks for sharing.

    • I love swimming though it had been so long since I had it, only in a hot spring pool. I could not do the breaststroke because it is so hard for me now, but I can always do the backstroke which is easier on my heart (as I feel it).

    • This kind of people are envious people, insecure and minds dull. They are not also busy in their lives so their target to compromise their situation is attacked those they believed lucky and fortunate. That is as escape goat.

    • I have a childhood friend like this. She definetly wants to be somebody else. I already knew her since we were kids. She wants the attention of everyone. She always brag about her so called buddies in school that they rich, where they went, want they eat and exactly what they do. When i accompained her at her school i was disapointed with her grades it was totally a flop. You see, her parents working very hard to send her to school but she’s not studying well. But if you going to ask her what is the story of the novel she reads she knows everything even the smalest details of the book. Due to her laziness and dullness she ended up marrying someone she doesnt even know well with no stable job, doesnt own a house, and still living together with her parents and siblings. It is really true that you’re friend is you’re greatest foe. Some people i came accross are hypocrites blinded by their pride and motive to ruin a person.

      • The girls in the ‘clique’ none did very well. Many barely passed their subjects, more interested in hair style than history.
