I believe that I have as much of the bad habits like anyone else, but I also believe that majority of my habits are the good one. I also have three small children and I think I put some good things in them as well. If I am not as good as I think the is always my beloved to correct me. Sometimes I am not as tidy as I should be, but it is partially my mistake and partially my family mistake. Nothing in particular affects our health so I think we are still doing a good job.

Depends on the type of fund you choose. Index fund and balanced mutual funds are good for the income. But equity is risky.
