peachpurple wrote a new post, 4 Foods to Avoid During Pregnancy 8 years, 4 months ago

Many pregnant mums do have a misunderstanding that they are eating for 2 people during pregnancy period.

You are what you eat, and your baby is what you eat

In other words, how your baby turns out wh […]

    • That’s a lot of food right there that pregnant women should not take, I am even lost for words what else is there left to eat? I know vegetables is a must, literally all the foods that are not supposed to be eaten have been mentioned above I don’t think I can add up anything else. or maybe chilies are pregnant women allowed to have spiced food with chilies, take wine after food, maybe that one should also be talked about because there are people like me who like spiced food and that could cause problems for me when I get pregnant could you kindly expound on this, it would help quite a lot to know. Thanks for sharing the information.

    • These would be some very good tips for pregnant women and they would benefit a lot from these.
I am also sharing these ahead.

    • nice tips for pregnant women

    • Pregnancy is such a funny thing, yes i agree that our baby is what we eat. But sometime during pregnancy your baby decides what you can and cannot eat. I remember when I was pregnant I couldn’t eat meat none at all throughout my entire pregnancy. I craved vegetables and salty foods and if I even tried eating meat my stomach would get upset and I would have terrible vomiting. Even simply having a glass of water was hard for me, as I would throw up whenever I tried having a drink. Every woman have different experience and it seems to me like the baby has its own appetite while inside of the womb.

Tanikka Paulk wrote a new post, Addressing Social Issues 8 years, 4 months ago

Who do we turn to when the nation needs to address social issues and more? Some may turn to activists and some may look at the President in hopes that some of the problematic issues will be addressed. Even if […]

    • Wow I just love what I have read, and if this piece would be read by all politicians or people who are in the government then for sure we would not have to worry about the many atrocities that are taking place within our countries, people will be more willing to take care of issues that affect them and get help, there will be no murders taking place between communities because of lack of understanding, the youth will be more willing to take up responsibilities and work for their futures. I applaud this article and I wish everyone of us would step up and do what is right in their lives because it all begins with me.

      • There’s a lot of social issues that need to be addressed and hopefully some of these issues will gain the attention from those who are positions to make a difference. Too many fearful people. To afraid to speak up because of fear or some sort of retaliation for doing so. If everyone stood for something that can create a better world then we all would be in better positions. Silence doesn’t get anyone anywhere. There’s times to be silent but not when it comes to people’s lives. Thanks for your comment. Have a blessed day. It all begins with everyone. Too many people are afraid to address these issues. Tanikka Paulk will continue to stand for people’s “rights.”

    • Social issues are common in every society and in the government sectors also. I think social issues are self created not imposed by God and any other creature. the main cause of social issue is greed and jealousy and nothing else.

I think these are htt social issues…
Abortion. What is your stance on abortion? …
Gay Marriage. Do you support the legalization of same sex marriage? …
      LGBT Adoption Rights. …
      Planned Parenthood Funding. …
      Safe Spaces. …
      Religious Freedom Act. …
      Government Mandates. …
      Marital Rape.Abortion
      Affirmative Action
      Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)
      Ageism / Age Discrimination
      Airport Screening Procedures
      Airport Security
      Alcoholism
      Animal Rights
      Anorexia Nervosa
      Anti-Muslim Discrimination
      Binge Drinking
      Birth Control
      Bulimia Nervosa
      Bullying
      Campus Crime

It is most difficult to deal with all of them because the government does not want to solve these issues because on these issues they make politics in all countries of the world.

Everyone has to grow old one day.

    • Living alone does not mean they have no activity. It is the activity that often connects with other people that can enliven loneliness and thus keep Alzheimer’s disease away.

    • I think that progressive mental deterioration that can occur in middle or old age, due to generalized degeneration of the brain. It is the commonest cause of premature senility.

Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.

Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging, although the greatest known risk factor is increasing age, and the majority of people with Alzheimer’s are 65 and older. But Alzheimer’s is not just a disease of old age. Up to 5 percent of people with the disease have early onset Alzheimer’s (also known as younger-onset), which often appears when someone is in their 40s or 50s.

I have read that lthough current Alzheimer’s treatments cannot stop Alzheimer’s from progressing, they can temporarily slow the worsening of dementia symptoms and improve quality of life for those with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Today, there is a worldwide effort under way to find better ways to treat the disease, delay its onset, and prevent it from developing.

Tanikka Paulk wrote a new post, Staying Whole in a Cruel World 8 years, 4 months ago

The world is filled with people who are so determined to make sure that certain people fail. Yes, one will have to fight, not literally fight but spiritually fight. No one should be a pushover and allow anyone to […]

    • I sense from what you wrote that you have been hurt by others. Jesus told us that in this world we will have tribulation and suffering. He is with us, but evil in the world won’t stop until he returns. He knew what it was to be despised by those around him and rejected and hated. As his servants, we can expect the same kind of treatment. He warned us about that. It is still our job to trust him and do good.

    • No one is spared from having to face what this world dishes out. Taking every such situation as a challenge and meeting them is how one should go about them.

    • This world is not cruel yea you say that the world of man is cruel not the world of nature that loves human beings. I think it’s perfectly possible to explain how the universe came about without bringing God into it, but I don’t know everything, and there may well be a God somewhere, hiding away. Actually,

if he is keeping out of sight, it’s because he’s ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they’re responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I’d want nothing to do with them.

The world was a terrible place, cruel, pitiless, dark as a bad dream. Not a good place to live. Only in books could you find pity, comfort, happiness – and love. Books loved anyone who opened them, they gave you security and friendship and didn’t ask anything in return; they never went away, never, not even when you treated them badly.

Just one solution we can adopt just love as Anger, resentment and jealousy doesn’t change the heart of others– it only changes yours

Tanikka Paulk wrote a new post, Those who are Called Will Come up Against Some of the Most Challenges Things 8 years, 4 months ago

It’s not easy when one is on assignment and being called. There will be attacks and those who won’t understand the assignment. At the beginning it will be difficult to understand how can so many turn their backs […]

    • True, it is evident that whatever God has assigned to be must be. There is no two ways about it. Besides, the called have to pass through challenges, struggle, trials and temptation but in that they are confident and filled with joy.
The called sees trials and temptation as a stepping stone to reach their destiny. When trials come, they become more willing and enthusiastic to serve God.
However, everyone who accomplishes great things in life or lived as an achiever will equally tell the same story. It may not be easily at the very beginning but the end result is glorious.
Thanks for posting this wonderful article.

    • I just commented on another of your blogs where I said any difficult situation needs to be taken as a challenge. Meeting challenges and winning them over is what makes life worth living.

    • Challenges are a part of life.It is written in th3 bible that in life we will go through trials and tribulations. When God calls you it doesn’t mean that you won’t face challenges, in fact they will come fill force and if you do not know God they will seem very hard to handle. His has given us the ability to fight this things in life of only we put on the armour of God which is his word and prayer. We are told that for does not being challenges our way of he knows we cannot tackle them. You have the ways and means and you also be a brain’s to think that’s why for enablesus with wisdom to be able to think and do what is right. When pastors are chosen to do the work of God, they don’t get into it thinking that all is well and that no evil shall befall them, no they know that they will be in constant battle, because the devil will be there to throw all kinds of distractions on them. We know that the devil doesn’t like anything that is Godly, so he will keeo fighting them to bring them down, and that needs they’ll armour of God to keep strong and keep going.

    • human life is full of trials and tribulations since man’s creation. first of all Eve was tested by God not to eat the fruit of forbidden tree but Eve the mother of mankind reject God’s decree and ate the fruit. This brought Adam on earth and from this disobedience death was created for man to take back from earth to heaven where she was before the fall.

One more thing keep in mind goodness is from God and evil if our self created on earth. So far as trial and tribulations on earth are concerned I say that God’s trial is different than man’s self created hardships on earth and we call it the trial of God. Read the holy Bible carefully you will know the reality of reality. As the Bible says:

Acts 14:22 (Jer) … “We all have to experience many hardships,” they said, “before we enter the kingdom of God.”

      When Bad Things Happen

The Scriptures speak of three types of “trouble” for the believer: 1) Discipline, judgment, or rebuke from the Lord; 2) tests, trials, persecutions, suffering; and 3) temptations or attacks from Satan. So is this present trouble the hand of the Lord in direct rebuke, or the promised testing of our faith, or are we being “had” by Satan? We should know, so we can respond accordingly.
James 1:12 (NIV) Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the victor’s crown, the life God has promised to those who love him.

If someone’s case in the court and he is under the trial may not be called this trial is from God. Make efforts for goodness and for the betterment of humanity and to make the government of God on earth in such trial and tribulation if someone suffers we may say the trials and tribulations from God as I have quoted some verse from the Holy Bible.

Falling into self created troubles may not be called trials and tribulations of God as the article shows in bold words.

    • Usually those who consider themselves as good, or belonging tot he group of the converted, judge and criticize those of a different standing. But God has given each of us wonderful gifts. We must not share them with everyone at once, believing that it will bring them to faith. Instead, share according to the guidance of God.

peachpurple wrote a new post, 10 Painless Way to Lose Weight 8 years, 4 months ago

Whether you are in your twenties or forties, you may be starting to worry about your weight if someone had left remarks that you are overweight

In fact, female teenagers are more weight conscious w […]

    • Good advice, especially about eating whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. As far as the fats are concerned, some new research suggests that fat is less of an issue for weight gain than previously thought. And we actually need some healthy fats with our vegetables (e.g. salad dressing) in order to help us obtain the full benefits of the fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A & D.

BTW, obesity is a major concern when people are poor and cannot afford enough healthy food. It has often been touted as a disease of affluence but in study after study, those individuals most likely to be overweight or obese were the elderly who live on fixed income and members of low-income families.

Many of these people depend on refined (white) carbohydrates for the bulk of their calories in the day because foods like white rice and pasta, potatoes, and white breads and instant breakfast cereals tend to be both inexpensive and frequently donated to food banks or soup kitchens. There are a lot of calories in these foods but few other nutrients besides carbs, in comparison with fresh vegetables and whole grain products.

    • Those are some very good tips that someone would use to cut weight. I totally agree this could be a good and easy way to loose Wight. I guess it’s all about what we put in our mouths that counts. Am glad that personally I do try to eat the above foods that you have mentioned. I also never skip my meals, I always make sure that i have had my breakfast because that is what keeps me going throughout the way, I don’t get to binge eating.
With all that done I also try to keep up with my exercises, that’s very very important. When we are loosing weight we don’t just want to burn the days off of our bodies, but we are also burning calories, and at th3 same time we also want to keep fit and have a well toned body right? This ar3 things I keep in mind all the time.
But the one thing am really greatful about is the fa t that i don’t struggle with weight. Usually when I get stressed out the first thing that starts going down is my weight. I tend to loose weight quite fast when am stressed out so that saves me from having to reduce my eating at some point.Let me just say I loose weight naturally without working too hard. But again I ha e to be really careful when am relaxed because I gain weight just as fast.

    • Great tips for parents, Peachy dear! It is so easy to feel overwhelmed with our parenting duties and the other obligations we have in life. Moms and Dads need all the help we can get 🙂

    • It’s true that parenting has it’s ups and downs. It can be very challenging at times and that’s why parents are always reminded to be same and try to avoid getting mad all the time because that never helps a family. I do agree with your sentiments we need to take care of ourselves, by eating well exercising because these are very vital in our everyday life. Sometimes people can get frustrated because of th3 kids or the many demands of th3 family and that can be very stressing. But from what I have gathered over the years it’s good to keep life simple all a issues whenever they crop up and always go a an ear to your partner that way misunderstandings will be a thing of the past.
