Morley Safer died today at the age of 84, days after announcing his retirement.  He was a t.v. journalist for CBS and was later a member of the news show “60 Minutes.”   He was on “60 Minutes” for 46  years!!

He must have witnessed a lot of historical events in his life and probably reported on a lot of them as well.  May he R.I.P.

    Charity for poor
We all have heard that the charity begins from home but some of us use it for personal benefit. I have a long list of institutes and organizations that collect funds in the name of charity […]

    • Looking at the pic of the post really my friends tears float in my eyes and I think that we each of us must pay charity to the poor so that they could eat good food and wear good clothes at home and out of homes. It is the biggest blessing and goodness on earth.

[2:262] Those who spend their money in the cause of GOD, then do not follow their charity with insult or harm, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

[2:263] Kind words and compassion are better than a charity that is followed by insult. GOD is Rich, Clement.

[2:267] O you who believe, you shall give to charity from the good things you earn, and from what we have produced for you from the earth. Do not pick out the bad therein to give away, when you yourselves do not accept it unless your eyes are closed. You should know that Allah is Rich, Praiseworthy.

Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of GOD. Any charity you give will be repaid to you, without the least injustice.

[2:273] Charity shall go to the poor who are suffering in the cause of GOD, and cannot emigrate. The unaware may think that they are rich, due to their dignity. But you can recognize them by certain signs; they never beg from the people persistently. Whatever charity you give, GOD is fully aware thereof.

[2:274] Those who give to charity night and day, secretly and publicly, receive their recompense from their Lord; they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

    • We have aloe vera in the garden since 2001 when we moved to this house. We had planted it for an herbal hair grower. But it’s not true that you will get a thick crop of hair. The only truth in aloe vera is its healing properties as salve for burns. Pardon me if this runs counter to your post. But my comment is based on my experience – we had experimented with aloe vera before.

      • Any therapy has rules and they need to be followed. Having said that has anyone told you that Aloe vera guarantees thick growth of hair?

    • Aloe Vera is a great plant. I have used its gel on my skin before and it is wonderful to help with sun burns. I also have used it in juice and pill forms to help with stomach ailments and regularity.

    • Even a toothache gets relieved if it is applied directly on the gums.

Our life is bogged down with clouds that show up anytime and at any age. Some are dark clouds that the weak of heart and faith would not know how to handle or know what to do and where to go  but if one has a […]

    • I remember a day like that. We were prepared for a large family gathering around Thanksgiving but nobody came. It was both a disappointment and a relief. If we had known nobody was coming we would have certainly made less food and had far less leftovers to stock up in the refrigerator. Also, I enjoyed quality time with my wife with nobody talking and walking around picking up pie and talking while the show was on.

    • Oh so that is the meaning of silver lining. All the while I thought that it was the striking cloud across the skY!

      yeah, I had one.
My brother in law had invited all his siblings for his birthday party except us.

My MIL asked him why we didn’t attend his birthday party.
Actually he purposely didn’t invite us, for some gossips that he had heard from his other siblings.

Then after a few weeks, we caught up with my MIL.
Surprisingly, the party wasn’t a good one.

My niece had ordered a buffet dinner but she did not paid for it and my MIL had to pay for the bill.

Of course my brother in law refused to pay because it was her daughter’s idea to start the party.

Everyone was gossiping about how ungrateful he and his daughter were.

      Using my MIL money.

Glad that we didn’t attend this party after all

    • You are fortunately to have many water sources in your country.
For us here, since the founding of the country, and in fact, before the founding of the country, we have to buy water from our neighboring country!
Hard to imagine that the survival of our country depends on our neighbor to sell us water.

    • Never been to your country but have always heard good things about it. Met people from there. I’m glad the US and Canada are good neighbors. 🙂

    • Canada is located in the North of the universe and now I tell you an interesting thing no one deny it keeping keeping in mind the history and law of nature that are working in the universe since its creation in heaven and on earth.

Keep in mind the nest super power will be Canada after the downfall of USA because Canada is in the North of USA. According to law of nature North is always winner if it fights with East and West but if its fights with South the war will be equal.

North may not be conquered by any means or by any law on earth. It is called North-South Mystery.

Those nations who live in the North may not be conquered by any powerful country. I will recite the example of North Korea was attacked by USA forces but she got defeat badly.

History is replete with the power of North an the all direction. The Pyramids of Egypt are made on the North Pole knowingly because the wise men knew the mystery of North.

The storm and tornadoes and other natural catastrophes appear from the North Pole not from the Sooth Pole.

China and Russia know these secrets and therefore their seats in UNO in the north and it is the law of nature that the business, the the king chair, the nation, the war….always will the North Pole people. yea, a few know this secret on earth.

magnetic rays travel from North to South Pole, think, why? You will find more mystery on earth about the North and South Pole Mysteries. Canada is in the North will surpass the whole world one day in business, war, economics, spirituality, science, politics….in all field of life. The whole world see that is is areal truth without any doubt.

Most of my funny stories take birth in the park I spend an hour or so every morning. It was really funny to hear a grumpy targeting a mum and her baby that was crying a bit, “Why bring your screaming babies in t […]

    • Funny moments indeed. What has really interested me is the one of the woman who takes her kid to the park and a guy decides to let her know that her kid is making nois, I like what she answered back, that’s just what such people need. Am sure if it was in my country that guy is better of being quiet because if people heard him say that? They would pounce on him in support of the woman. And as if that’s not enough you would hear responses like why don’t you but your own park, fence it all round and make sure it’s not near any home or road so that you don’t get any kind of annoying cries and noises from the outside. You can also top it up with a sound proof fence for better relaxation hahaha. The answers people would give, you do not want to say some things in public. I mean who goes to a public place and expect not to hear kids throwing tantrums and crying all over the place it’s just not possible.

    • Funny moments in life are most important but these funny moments look awkward in the parks and playgrounds where some women bring with their naughty children who make a noise and disturb those who come in the park to take rest. Such mothers take care to take with them in the park. They must not bring their children in the parks so that other people could not disturb.

Maybe not every kid is naughty, but they all seem to have moments, don’t they? Siblings fight. Kids climb on queues even when we tell them over and over again to stop. A kid acts out because he’s not getting his way. Tell me it’s not just me? We can’t always pull out a “Time Out” step at Disneyland. I’m not going to punish the whole family because one kid is acting out. This week we asked our Parenting Panel:

Children are wonderful, sweet, energetic kids, but, like any other small children, they have their moments when they aren’t on their best behavior. We’ve found that consistency works best for us when it comes to behavior, especially since we visit the Disneyland Resort often. Even at Disney parks, we tend to enforce the same rules that we do at home.

It seems to me that a lot of parents suspend all the rules when they head to down to Walt Disney World for vacation. Granted we all chip away at the rulebook a little. I can’t imagine letting my kids stay up past midnight just to play or watch TV at home. Yet, some of those Extra Magic Hour late nights in the Magic Kingdom Park have taken us well past midnight. Or how about ice cream at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. just before bed? Not happening on your average Tuesday.

But, hey, we’re on vacation, right? Things are a little looser. Now, I don’t want to sound like too tough a parent, but on vacation we still try our best to stay within the general rulebook, and that especially goes for behavior. We expect them to act the way they’re supposed to act. They know that and for the most part, they do act accordingly.
