@morgoodie Finally, I can access StumbleUpon. I cleared my cache.
I am actually not sure from which sites I get some traffics to my posts, I did get some referring visitors after I shared in those sites. I just started to use the link shortener. I am using goo.gl, it does tell me how many clicks and from which browsers and countries, but it doesn’t tell me which site I generate the traffic from. I am thinking if bit.ly does tell more information, as I have seen this feature shown in their website. I might check it out later.

I have heard that once you shared your posts in Google+, it might get ranked better in Google search engine. I am not too sure about it, but I just shared mine there, though I do not have many followers there too. I guess it takes time to build the network, and we will get good results if we do this consistently.

I just signed up tumblr. I like the web design, and hope I’ll enjoy blogging and sharing there as well.

@haraka Thank you for sharing your experience. Besides crafting, I found many pins about blogging, parenting and recipes in Pinterest too. Perhaps those are what I pin always. I haven’t share any in LinkedIn, as I think it’s too professional to me. πŸ˜€

@rapidblue Thank you for sharing your experience with bitlanders. I guess I will just leave it out for now, since I have more than enough on my plate now. πŸ™‚

@swalia It’s good to hear that. I always think hubpages for for professional writers, hence I do not dare to sign up to the site. But I agree with you, sometimes it’s not just about earnings, it’s about learning as well. πŸ™‚

@grecy095 Perhaps you are just feeling down because of BlogJob. I guess other blogging sites are different from BlogJob. Perhaps you’ll get back your motivation soon once BlogJob is back to normal.

@morgoodie Yes, I think many US people would buy things from Amazon, I suppose the site is really trusted and the products are good quality, am I right? I found that something are cheaper there too. But, if I’d purchase from that site, the shipping fee would be really costly. πŸ™‚

I do not have any idea how bitcoin works too. Perhaps I will learn more about it later, in future. πŸ˜€

@ruby3881 Have you checked out Buffer? I came across a blog post from Buffer about the ideal image size for social media sites, and Buffer is actually a product that helps us to schedule to share our posts on social media sites. There is a free version, but I have not try it out yet. I just tried Pablo, it’s just a simple tool to create social media images, simpler than Canva to me, but of course less functionalities. If you just want to create a quick image for the post, perhaps Pablo is a good tool for it.

This is their social media blog: https://blog.bufferapp.com/

I didn’t know PhotoShop, but I learned to use GIMP for simple image creation for web design. It took me some time to learn, but it’s really a good tool. There are a lot of online tutorials for GIMP. But, I am really not a design person, I’d go for those simple image editing tool. πŸ˜€

@grecy095 @morgoodie I used to just upload images from Pixabay or my own photos, but after reading ruby’s posts, I found it nice to have some words especially when we share the posts in social media sites. That’s why I started to create images for the posts, just a very simple one. You can try out Pablo. You just need to choose an image, add text, and that’s it, but not many functionalities there.

@grecy095 I just started to shortern my link with Goo.gl, and found out I actually used it to share my Bubblews referral link before. πŸ˜€

Yes, I agree with you that it’s good for us to track how many clicks we have got, and also from which countries.

I have read that some sites actually do not accept shortened links, Pinterest is one of them. I tried to share my goo.gl link and I was told it’s an invalid link. So, I think we’d better check out if we can share the shortened links in some sites before we do that.

@ruby3881 Yes, I agree with you, while teaching, we’d learn better and might learn more too, because we might research more before telling others. But, it’s your generosity and selflessness that helps others and yourself too. πŸ™‚

@morgoodie I have been sharing the posts manually when I was in BlogJob too, as the permalink did not work. Once we got used to it, it isn’t too much work to share. Hope you’ll get your post done and published soon.

@support I am sure I have signed up with the referral link @sunil provided to me. http://172.104.9.193/?mref=sunil

I always double check before I sign up under anyone, so it will not be missed out. Would it be possible to check in the system if I did sign up through sunil’s referral link, or would it be possible to park me as a referral to him?

I also have a friend signed up through my referral link, but I also do not get any referral signups, though I still need to confirm with her on this. I am just thinking if the system was not ready for referral signups yet when I signed up to site, as there were only very few members and not much activities too. I think the referral system should be working now, because some members already got referral signups.

I am not too sure about this, hope you can help us to clarify this. Thanks in advanced. πŸ™‚

@sunil We are still not sure what will happen to us when we have a vote down, I guess none of us got that, and I wouldn’t want to try it out to anyone or even myself too. πŸ˜€

@morgoodie Thanks for the compliment. I always like to participate in forums, whether or not getting paid, but of course, now that there are paid forums, I’d like to stay here more often. πŸ˜€
Yes, I agree that the wordings are too small and not so clear, Moreover, the vote up and down are too near to each other, I always try not to click on the wrong button. I wonder if we have voted down, if we vote up again, what it will happen.

Just keep exploring, I think it’s fun!

@ruby3881 Yes, I think support or admin also mentioned the points and ranking will help to unlock some abilities to us in the forum, such as editing feature for blog post, I suppose.

May 10, 2016 at 12:10 am

@support Thanks for the good news and confirming about this. I am sure this will benefit many people, especially those writers have been writing good articles for a long time, and also good for LiteracyBase, so we will have more good quality posts.

@lookat As grecy mentioned, editing is disabled for newbies, but if you really want to edit your published posts, you can still send private message to support, and he/she will help you to make the amendments. I just sent him a request to edit my published post, and it’s amended. πŸ™‚

@peachpurple I have just tried just now, I can’t even submit the post I saved in draft. There is no way I can do with the draft, so I have to create another post, and submit it, and now it’s awaiting for approval. So, I think at the moment, we just have to follow like how grecy does, calcualte thw words, make necessary review before we submit it.

@morgoodie I guess we just have to create another one, as I mentioned to peachpurple above.

I am not familiar with Grammarly. I will surely check it out soon. Thank you for mentioning that. By the way, I am using online word count tool to count my words as I do not save the posts in Word document. I am currently using this: https://wordcounter.net/

@morgoodie So, they will convert the 300 credits to cash and pay you, am I right? So, 300 credits = $0.15, and they will pay you $10.15 if you cash out at $10, is it? It would be nice to receive some extra cents, I would have to spend days to earn that amount of money in neobux. πŸ˜€

I also prefer to receive cash, that is more useful for me, and I can use it to spend whenever I need it.

May 9, 2016 at 6:33 pm

@dawnwriter Thanks for the wishes. Actually I am busy with my software project, that’s my work, so while I am working on my project, I spend some time here as well. I am trying not to be stressed too, as my project is really rushing, but writing here makes me feel relaxed. πŸ™‚

I am taking more naps now and also spending time with my two children, I also need to do the housework, so I think I should be fine. Thanks.

@grecy095 Thanks. I have tried to share posts in StumbleUpon when I was still posting in BlogJob, though I am not sure if it did bring me any good traffic. I couldn’t access that site for a few days, so I couldn’t share my LB posts there.

Thanks for reminding, I should actually check out those online tutorials first, before I personally went and tried it out. πŸ˜€ I went to reddit just now, but I wonder if it’s okay for us to share our article with referral links there. I need to find out more about this before I share the posts.

Also thanks for telling me about the mobile phone, it also helps me to think more when I am designing website (as my freelance work). πŸ™‚

May 9, 2016 at 6:02 pm

@sunil I thought I am your referral. You are actually the one who inspired me to join LB. Before that I was still considering if I should join this site, because I couldn’t find much information about this online, but since you recommended it, I took your words and joined without thinking further. πŸ˜€

I am actually trying to see if I can hit $10 before end of the month, before I deliver my baby. I don’t think I will have so much time to spend online after my baby arrives, that’s why I am working hard now.

By the way, I just hit $2. I just started to write more posts and share them on social media sites, and hope these will bring me more earnings. I guess one of the advantages of blogging is that we are able to earn passive income. After we have published our posts and shared them, we might get referring visitors and signups without putting more efforts into that in future. I always like the idea of passive income. So, perhaps if I write more posts, I will be able to generate some earnings even though I am not free to come here and post daily. πŸ™‚

I like this topic! It’s such a positive and motivating. It’s always nice to read some happy moments or good news, and this always helps to cheer up ourselves too.

I always checked the “On This Day” feature on Facebook, as I used to share a little more on Facebook, and it’s always nice to see what was in my thoughts and life. 6 years ago, on Mothers’ Day, I wrote that I would be happy if my elder son would be able to wish me Happy Mothers’ Day, though he could only call me “mama” at that time. Yesterday, he actually wrote me a very neat and nice love note. My little girl also drew a love note to me. Yes, these two children have grown up, and they really made me feel really happy.

Lately, as I am pregnant and busy at work, I am quite tired and I have lost my patience always. What I wrote in Facebook 6 years ago really reminded me to be grateful for my children, and not to demand too much from them, they are already very good children. πŸ™‚

@grecy095 I was really excited and proud when I was eligible to vote as well. Good that the election process there is so fast.

May 9, 2016 at 5:40 pm

@grecy095 Nope, this is not for Malaysia only, it’s actually a worldwide online event, I think Hay House is a company in US.

I would really recommend you to sign up to this world summit, though it has already started, I think you can still sign up. You can go and check out whether there are any topics that interest you or you might get inspired. Anyway, if you really do not like it, you can unsubscribe to it anytime you like. Hay House is a company that always shares inspirational videos and work, and that’s why I subscribe to their newsletter. I always like to get inspiration when I am feeling down, these always help me, though I know I need to help myself first.

If you have signed up, I’d recommend you to watch The Shift, by Dr Wayne Dyer. Well, it’s a two hour movie, I am not sure if you will get inspired, but you can just check it out and see. Again, Dr Wayne Dyer is the reason that I signed up to this. So, I might not have much time to check out the rest, but I’ll try to watch and read Dr Wayne’s lessons.

Perhaps you can take a break by watching the movie, or listening to the audio, or just a few short articles. You might get inspired, and these might change your life. Stay positive! πŸ™‚
