@ruby3881 Yes, I noticed that as well after reading the update from Support. He has mentioned in the Maintenance Activity thread that the maintenance is now ended, and the good news is the revised rate for blog posts.

I am glad that the pay rate seems to be double now, which is really a good news for us. Hope more people will be encouraged to join the site, and write blog posts as well.

By the way, I just noticed the shortlink you are using for the post is buff.ly, is it a feature from Buffer as well?

@moogoodie Same here. I can’t work on something I don’t like to do, or I just don’t like to force myself to do so.

myLot used to have attractive referral commission like LiteracyBase, which is 10% from the referral’s earning many years ago. But now, there is no referral system yet. You can just visit the site and sign up. Feel free to add me as friend there, I am using the same username. 🙂

@peachpurple I always like tea without sugar, even though I am drinking Lipton or Boh Tea brand tea bags, perhaps I am used to drink Chinese tea without sugar.

I am actually quite particular about food when I am breastfeeding, especially for the first few months. I totally stopped drinking coffee and wine since more than 8 years ago, when I planned to get pregnant, and until now I don’t drink them yet, even Chinese wine. So, I don’t get to enjoy those traditional Chinese confinement food which I like. I  have read that coffee and wine are not good for baby’s brain development.

I don’t eat garlic, onion and ginger too, for the first few months, because these are stimulating food, the taste are very strong, and the baby might not like them too.

@bestwriter Though I do not drink coffee now, my husband is drinking coffee every morning. So I got to smell the aroma of coffee in the morning, and I love it so much.

@slayer08 I like creamy and a little sweet coffee too, though I do not really like to eat sweet stuffs. Cappuccino is always my favorite.

Hi @omarmear Welcome to the site. Hope you already understood better how do start your journey in LiteracyBase by now, with the explanation of others.

I would suggest you to just participate in the forums, especially About LiteracyBase, so you will get to understand better how the site works and also get updates from the support or admin. Besides that, I’d like to share that the team has revised the rate for our blog posts, so we are able to earn more by our posts. Besides the earning per post, we might also receive award for quality blog posts, hence a bonus will be given.

So now, there are more good reasons for us to blog here. Hope to see you back here soon. 🙂

@melissa1024 Thank you for explaining about Slice the Pie. The fashion section sounds interesting, though I am not a trendy or fashionable person. Perhaps I should go there and take a look, if my account is still active. I haven’t been visiting that site for years, I think.

Yes, I am now waiting if the forum is enabled in postloop, then I just make a few posts. Otherwise, I’ll just leave it aside. As you said, a little cash is better than none. 🙂

I really enjoy spending time in mylot, as you said, we can just write whatever on our mind, and I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts there. 🙂

@morgoodie Though many people have complained mylot is paying too low and the pay rate is a mystery, I really enjoy spending time there. It’s like my “online home”. I have not encountered any negative experiences as some people did. The friends I met there are all very nice and supportive, and I got to learn a lot of different things about life from them as well, especially from different cultures.

You can give it a try. Though it might earn slow, you can just drop by and write something on your mind, as there’s no limit of words per post, or respond to others’ posts. 🙂

@swalia I always thought Hubpages is a good writing site, but I have not really explore the site, as I am not a professional writer. It’s so sad to hear you hardly earn even a dollar a month. I think you can earn much better from LiteracyBase.

It really seems like many writing sites have gone down hill, and interaction and participation in forums seem to be more popular nowadays, while blogging at the same time too.

I am sure @peachpurple has already figured out the pay rate for the blog post.  I just want to share with others, previously the posts I submitted between 500 – 750 words earn 10 cents. Now with the revised rate, I just got one published post, with 596 words, it’s 22 cents.

I just want to encourage others to write more or write lengthy posts. 🙂

@morgoodie Good morning, glad to see you are here. (It’s early morning here)

Yes, my husband told me to sleep more especially the few days before I deliver the baby. I need strength for that, though it’s a c-section.

It seems like I can sleep much better now despite the pain on my belly.

Hope I will still be able to cash out from Ayuwage before I deliver, I have over $8 now.

How is the yard sale going on? Did you get some good money from the sale?

I actually feel like I am taking advantage of my sweet personal time now, as I might not be able to be so free after my baby arrives. I will need to wait for perhaps 2 years to get more free time. 😀

@lolaze Sorry for replying late. I didn’t get to check out this thread until now. :p

It’s a baby boy. It’s my third child, and I already have a boy and a girl. 🙂

Congratulations on being the god mother very soon. It’s always a lovely news to know a baby is joining the world.

Hope the new medication will work better and help you too!

As for my day, I just got up a few hours ago, and still working hard on LiteracyBase and some surveys. I have been neglecting those surveys for quite some time, so I just think it’s good for me to work on them since I am quite energetic today or now. I am happy that I have got a few online work done.

There are more pains to my belly and legs and I can’t move as freely as I was, but it’s a good sign as I can feel my baby’s movement and I know he is excited to join us soon. I am counting down the days now.

I will continue to organize and declutter my home, and get ready for the baby’s stuffs soon.

@swalia Thanks. Perhaps I am a talkative person, hence I always write long comments, everywhere. I am actually learning to write shorter comment, and I have always been deleted parts of my comments when I found them too long, I don’t want to make others bore while reading my long comments. I always try to write short posts in mylot. It’s a challenge for me. 😀

I am glad I have found LiteracyBase, as it pays according to the length of our comments. I guess this is one of the reasons I enjoy spending time in the forums.

Now I think we can earn more by writing blog posts as support just mentioned that the rate has been revised and increased. I am sure you will earn more by your professional writing now. 🙂

By the way, I just want to share that I have reached $7.50. With the increased rate of blog posts, I hope I can reach the minimum payout very soon, and prove that LiteracyBase pays! Hope my baby will wait for me to cash out first. 😀

My good news for today:

1. Support has posted an update regarding the maintenance activity, it’s now ended. He also announced the good news which is the revised rate for each blog post. I just checked, one of my submitted posts has been approved and published, and it’s 22 cents! I am really happy for that, as it’s doubled of what we earned previously.

This is really encouraging. So, it seems not to difficult to make $1 a day, if we are writing two blog posts per day and be active in forums too.

2. I have reached $7.50 with the help of the revised rate of my published post.

3. I had a good night sleep last night, though I started to have lots of pain at my belly, I am grateful for feeling the baby’s movement. It’s really a wonderful experience despite the pain. 😀

4. I have got my store room decluttered and organized mostly, today I just need to spend some time to finish the work. I am happy to see a more organized and neater home now, and it’s to welcome my baby. 😀

@grecy095 Yes, I agree that life is short. So, we need to seize our time and do what we love to do or what matters to us most. I am glad I am a forgetful person, so I always forget what upset me and move on quite quickly. 😛

@4cryingoutloud Yes, those are two very good news. Hope you’ll enjoy your new job, next month, right?

@lolaze It’s good to hear that. Hope it will be done very soon and you won’t have to suffer from the pain.

I remember hearing one of my friends used to cry for this when her friend just passed away. She is a faithful Christian, and she doubted God on that. She wondered why a good person would die even she has been praying and faithful to God. Her friends who are also Christians told her not to doubt God, as God always has plans for everyone. We should just keep praying and believing in God.

I am not a Christian, but I believe there’s a reason for everything. Perhaps it might seem to be bad now, it is actually not that bad. There might be a lesson for it, or it’s just that we haven’t really see the good things beyond it.

I know Buddhism believes in Karma, not only the cause and effect in this life, but it might be the cause from the previous lives. I still haven’t believe in this yet, but this can sometimes explain why. I believe in the cause and effect in this life, and I think there might be a lesson for us to learn while we are in a bad situation. I also just read a book, “It could have been worse”.

Review of my yesterday’s (17 May 2016) goals:

I didn’t spend much time on work yesterday. I am not sure if I started to be lazy, or I was busy and tired at decluttering my store room. I did not even work on my software project at all.

I just submitted a blog post, earned only 25 cents from forum commenting, visited one or two new groups and forumss, and read a few blog posts. I am glad the rate for blog post has been revised, with one post published, I was able to reach $7.50.

I took a long nap in the morning, it was really a good one, but I had to wake up for lunch. I am grateful for my husband preparing lunch almost every day now. I did spent time on myLot, forum coin and postloop. I also brought my children to playground for a while, and had good chats with my neighbors there.

The most satisfying job I have done yesterday was decluttering the store room, it’s really rewarding to see a neat and organized place now. 🙂

@s-stephens Welcome to the group! Yes, it sounds like a very busy day, but hope you enjoy doing all those especially the TV bonding time with your family. Good that you enjoy your Genealogy searches!

@slayer08 Hope you’ll reach $2 soon. I am always trying hard to catch up with the notifications as well, but I guess we all understand we have other work to do in our daily life. 🙂

@morgoodie That’s a lot of work for you today, hope you’ll be able to get them done and cash out from those sites too!

I just got a warning in Ayuwage, perhaps it’s because I have encountered too many errors just now. I guess I will just have to stop working there for a few days, and hopefully the warning will be faded off soon.

@haraka It seems like we are all having lots on our plate. Hope we will be able to get them done, at least most of them. 🙂

You are on myLot too? May I know your username? I always like to spend my time there, but lately as I am spending much time here, I haven’t been active there for quite some time.

Your scrapbook project sounds interesting. Hope you can share with us when it’s done. 🙂

Good luck everyone with your goals!
