bestwriter wrote a new post, Controlling Cholesterol naturally 8 years, 2 months ago

Most who are taking pills for controlling cholesterol know all about what bad cholesterol does to one’s health and they also know what healthy parameters are.

Tablets control cholesterol but the doctors do […]

    • I never paid attention to cholesterol levels until my husband had a heart attack. I wish I had paid attention sooner. Still! He has changed his diet and is on medication now. It’s helping.

      • Once normal levels are reached through medication just a lifestyle change can keep it in check. Drugs have side effects.

    • Cholesterol is also a major problem among men and women all over the world but I think it becomes due to over dieting at homes or in parties. Now I tell you what is cholesterol:
Cholesterol is a white, waxy substance that is produced by animals and is present in foods like brains, egg yolks and meats like kidney and pate. Most people take in about 1 gram of cholesterol every day. The body also makes its own cholesterol; it forms an important part of cell structure and is necessary for the production of various hormones.

Triglyceride is the other main type of fat. It is found in both animal and plant foods, and we take in about 100 grams each day. The bulk of the animal fat in our diet is in the form of triglycerides. Despite this, people still talk about the amount of cholesterol in our diet as if it is a big issue. Our main concern is the total intake of animal fat.

The fat in our diet is an entirely different matter to the level of the fats in the blood. The blood cholesterol level is more important than the triglyceride level when it comes to the risk of coronary artery disease. However, after many years of looking like an innocent bystander, an elevated triglyceride level is now considered to be an additional risk factor.

The good news is that high cholesterol is treatable with safe and effective medication, dietary changes and exercise. The best news? Tweaking your health habits can make you feel and look better—fast!

bestwriter wrote a new post, When Doctors Do not Help 8 years, 2 months ago

I have  mild hypertension and my doctor has put me on tablets which are expected to keep my BP in check.  I do know Blood Pressure Tablets or for that matter any allopathic medicine has side effects. These ta […]

    • I am so sorry about that worst situation when your doctor did not do his job well.Better find another doctor. Some doctors this time are not anymore doing their job well.If they feel do not like their job, they have to resign. Why was that doctor prescribed you a tablet that increased your heart beat. That doctor is not credible.Better you did not complain. My best suggestion is to find another doctor through a recommendation.I hope you are very fine this time.Take care.

      • Felt it is true that some doctors nowadays are only working for the money part of it. They are not as dedicated as they should be in seeking with patients and it’s really sad. But I wouldn’t really blame the doctor for the prescription coz different people react differently to treatment could be it was too strong for her.but all the same he should have found another alternative to it.

      • Doctors cannot help because their hands are tied. They can only prescribe what is available but they will not suggest a holistic approach as outlined by me which is what is required.

    • That is one of the bewilderments of most scientific inventions Especially in the health field. Almost every drug will have its own side effect. Why must this be so?
Why not prouduce drugs that will cure what it was assigned to cure in the body instead of causing other minor, sometimes major unwanted reactions in the body.

The only solution lies with the spiritual. It is only God’s blessings that will make rich and add no sorrow to it.

Know that God! He’s the one who ultimately keeps you healthy.

      • Your right about that onyedikachi many are the times when we think that we can do stuff on our own but the truth is it’s God who knows everything that goes on about us. So even as we take those medicine a that we are prescribed for, we need to remember that the doctor administers but God does the healing

      • As I have commented doctors stick to their own discipline and never recommend what they are not professed in. I have mentioned a few things that patients could resort to including trust in God as you have said.

    • Wow very sorry to read of your predicament even though hypertension is a difficult condition to take care off, you have said it being positive and being prayerful is essential for someone’s healing. Am glad that you are taking it well and trying your best to maintain the condition. However I feel that it may be a good idea to seek medical attention from another doctor that could be helpful also. I wish you a long life free of pain and medicine in Jesus name Amen. Keep the positive attitude and all shall be well all the best.

      • As I have mentioned, doctors can only do so much with drugs available. All drugs have side effects no matter which doctor it will be. They will not suggest anything beyond their profession.

    • I’m sorry about your experience.

    • Most doctors do not resort to a holistic approach and that is when patients should do it for themselves. An Allopath will not recommend homoeopathy and so on.

    • As an ex registered nurse I understand your dilemma. Any other doctor that you would consult would prescribe probably the same treatment or some other medication “with side effects”. I used to say to every one of my patients that every person reacts to medication in their own way and thus side effects exists. But at least you have a very positive attitude towards your condition and you consulted other therapists. That is great….

      • Nice to meet a nurse here. Doctors will not get out of their box. I did have a general practitioner who is no more who was into other therapies besides allopathy. But I have not given up. Let me see how to get a plan for me.
        Thanks for visiting.

    • Yes, Tinycent is not a good site for the writers because the site pays delays and sometimes does not pay is a very serious thing for all of us because we write for earning and they do not pay us hurt our mind.

Is blogging at TinyCent worth your time and effort? My experience with TinyCent so far has not been encouraging. I tried to sign up for the purpose of reviewing the site, but I haven’t been able to complete registration after two weeks of trying. This post will explain why I don’t have high hopes for this site.

After not getting my verification email, I clicked the “contact us” link on the bottom of the login form. See form below. Black label at bottom was not part of screen shot. I added my comment to it. I cropped off site logos so as not to violate copyright.

I have never yet joined a writing site that asked for my phone number. TinyCent requires it at sign-up. They say it’s so they can contact you about payment information and payouts. Some members confirm getting these calls and having satisfying conversations with the owner.

However other sites pay me through PayPal, and they never have asked for my phone number. Why does TinyCent need it? Do they suspect possible fraudulent activity from some of their members?

    • Thank you all for the post to warn us for such sites, some sites i joined pay only for old members and sometimes also accept reviews only from their freinds and so. they are not trusty sites anymore

bestwriter wrote a new post, Kesari Tours – a review 8 years, 2 months ago

I have been on several foreign tours conducted by various travel agents but I have reasons to vouch for Kesari Tours as being the best.

    • Making tour is a good habit and makes men active and healthy from all respects throughout out life. With a tour, the planning is handled for you. Someone else puts together the itinerary, so you don’t have to worry about what to see or how much time to spend in any one place. Having someone else make the planning decisions can make things more simple and allow you to sit back and enjoy your vacation.

Transportation is a key part of most tours. The tour company takes you from point A to point B, so you won’t have to worry about getting lost. You won’t have to deal with confusing public transportation or taxi drivers who might not speak the same language.

Your tour will almost certainly come with a guide. Not only does this mean being with someone who knows a lot about the area you’re traveling in, but it means you will have someone giving you information about the sights you’re seeing. Historical information can allow you to imagine an ancient city instead of just a pile of rocks and pillars when you’re looking at ruins.

Often tours, especially day tours, can get you behind the scenes access to something the general public can’t get to. I took this tour of the Colosseum in Rome where they were able to take us to the lower level and the upper level, both of which were only accessible with special tours. There was no one else around but us! We also got to skip the line, which saved us so much time, another bonus of many tours.

What’s in warming up food that it requires to be put up as a blog would be the question anyone would ask reading the title of the blog.  As they say the taste is in eating the pudding. And so please read o […]

    • I am not sure whether microwaving will add moisture to the food as reheating cooked food normally removes the moisture unless it is steamed.

    • Thanks for sharing. Steaming could be one of the best way for reheating the food, especially those dry food which does not contains liquid like pau, bread, etc.
For some Chinese dishes which contains liquid, I just re-cook it with adding in some water.
For the soup, I just put into a small sauce pan and reheat it.
Anyway, there is medical advice that overnight food is no good for health, and could cause stomach cancer. Many experts have explained that overnight vegetable produce nitrite, but nitrite is a carcinogen.
Thus, I advise my mom not to take overnight food too often or even not once. She likes to take overnight food which is too risky for a old age lady, it could lead
to diarrhea, and more serious could lead to gastroenteritis. It is a fatal disease for some aged people, they might fail to be recovered from this disease. For those more healthier one, they still need two to three weeks for recovery.

      • If food is kept in the fridge I do not think it will change significantly. I do that all the time. Steaming it brings it back to freshness.

    • yes, we chinese culture also use wok cover with lid and a big bowl of water pour into the wok, to steam meals or overnight meals too.
Besides that, we also use the rice cooker to warm up overnight food.
Anyway, using your method is cheaper

    • I do this sometimes but most of the time, I will just put the food in the pan and let it heated there. Sometimes I add more condiments too.

    • Nice but we do not eat leftovers at home.We just simply throw the foods in trash.despite we refrigerate the foods, bacteria can still accumulate the area.

      • We have been doing that ever since we had a fridge which means since many many years. Nothing ever has happened to us. I cannot think of throwing food in the trash bin.

    • A good way of heating the food.

    • i dont understand how to do it…my wife prepare it for me

bestwriter wrote a new post, Physiotherapy – need of the hour 8 years, 3 months ago

I was introduced to physio therapy when I had met with an accident a few years ago. I did not even know such a therapy existed. I had a few ribs and two vertebrae fractured. The doctors’ main concern was to […]

    • Not just those having medical conditions but everyone should practice it because of the wear and tear that a body is subjected to as one ages.

    • I have never heard of this theraphy, maybe it is not common here.
Acupunture is common for those knee joints, disability and stroke patients .
Acupunture is done in order to help patients to recover.
      Thanks for sharing your experience

    • Physiotherapy is like an everyday exercise regime for everyone. Given that it works all around our bodies our bones and joints. It keeps every part of the body in workable condition. If say you can’t afford a doctor you can always get some exercise routine from a fun instructor and that should help. You do the exercises right in the privacy of your home without much expense. It’s nice to know that you doing better after the therapy.

    • Yes physio therapy needs hours because it is a very tough job but is very nice. Physical therapy is not alternative therapy. It is a clinical health science. Physical therapists study medical science subjects, including anatomy, neuroscience and physiology in order to acquire the health education needed for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., of patients with physical problems.

The physical therapist works in hospitals, GP (general practice, primary care medicine) practices, and the community. In the vast majority of countries a physical therapist must be fully qualified and registered by law. In order to become registered the physical therapist must have graduated with a university degree in physical therapy or a health science university degree that included a physical therapy course.

A qualified physical therapist is an expert in the examination and treatment of people with cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular diseases; focusing on conditions and problems that undermine patients’ abilities to move and function effectively.

According to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, UK:
“Physiotherapy is science-based, committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery. The exercise of clinical judgment and informed interpretation is at its core.”
