@cmoneyspinner Hi. Thank you so much. I am very confused about blogjob. I don’t know whether I should delete my posts there and bring them here or just wait? At the moment, I do not have to delete and repost so the Movie Magic blog will stay on blogjob. If you wish, you can share links though I am not sure if they will benefit you, me or […] View

What I meant by change was the duties and responsibilities that many younger mothers now have to take up.

For example, my grandmother was a simple housewife. She never drove a  car to pick and drop children to school, go to bank, take her in-laws to a hospital, attend her children’s school plays or parent-teacher meeting, stay up all night to help her son with Mathematics Kangaroo or daughter with Spelling Bee.

But many older people find it so easy to say, this did not happen in our times, we did not go out so much or stay away from home. Okay, I think I better stop.:-)

This is rather strange but a British study has suggested that if you consider yourself “fat”, you will find it harder to lose weight and will have an increased BMI.

Depression and stress about your own image can only make you feel worse and make it harder for you to lose weight.

So people with weight problems should think positive and be happy to lose weight effectively.

@4cryingoutloud It is 10:35 am in my part of the world. I am from Pakistan.

After sending my children to school and hubby to office, I clean the house, start preparing the lunch and put away washed clothes etc. In between household chores, I have a little time to be online.

It is very hot today and temperature is 33*C but it is expected to rise to 37*C later in the day.

Have a great day everyone.

@ruby3881 Chicken indeed is a very versatile dish.

@peachpurple We eat a lot of chicken in my house. Chicken is used in steaks, boneless chicken handi, chicken ginger, chicken shashlik and chicken in white sauce but the most favourite is chicken karahi.

Okay this is weird. I just posted a comment about various chicken recipes and it has disappeared too. Very demoralizing!

I am tagging you @morgoodie to see if tagging a person helps in making the comments stay. Otherwise mine keep on disappearing. @admin.

morgoodie Thanks for the book recommendations. I am always looking for new books to read for myself and my two older teenage children.

My children are big fans of Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz. I think there are 7-8 books in the series about a 15 year old boy who gets recruited by MI6 to hunt international criminals. Alex Rider is just like a mini James Bond, very intelligent, quick and courageous with gadgets. The books are ideal for children with thrill, action and plenty of adventure.

They are very well researched and very well written books. I have read them too and enjoyed them a lot.

When i do not have time to read lengthy books, I read short stories by famous authors.

@kaka135 Oh you are about to have a baby. Best of luck and may you have a healthy baby.

Don’t stress yourself too much and take frequent breaks. It is not good to be online for long periods in this condition.

All my best wishes.

I recently read an article about belly-fat and boy was it scary.

Did you know that belly fat is associated with serious health problems, such as heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Bad diet, alcohol, sedentary life style, genes and fast food all contribute to belly fat.

Men tend to gather more belly fat then women which was rather surprising for me because i thought women gain weight around the middle more quickly.

To get rid of belly fat, doctors recommend that you eliminate margarine, pastries, cookies, and fried and convenience foods from your diet. Also adopt a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, beans, nuts, seeds, lean meat, fish, eggs, and poultry.

And of course every doctor and health expert worth his salt recommends combining healthy diet with 30 to 60 minutes of exercise most days of the week.

Of all the things, genes scare me the most because obesity runs in my family. I can control my diet to some extent and I love to walk and I think i have enough willpower to say no to fattening desserts but how does one fight genes?

Recently I re-read the book, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho . I had read it once before and the whole “soul of the World and Personal Legend philosophy flew over my head.

This time however , I ignored the heavy philosophy stuff and just enjoyed the story and found myself smiling as I read about Santiago’s adventures that took him from Spain to Morocco to Egypt and back again.

I really enjoyed reading it and the end was specially great. The book shows just how important it is to believe in our dreams and not fear failure. Everything that we do enriches our lives because if we stop at a certain point or even die, we have come farther than before or have experienced something which others might not have.

Have you read the book? Did you enjoy it?

I have given birth four times and each time it became harder and harder to lose weight after each pregnancy. There are multiple reasons for us becoming fat.

Heredity, food choices, sedentary lifestyle and sitting for too long because we are online for long hours all contribute to obesity.

The best remedy is to be active. If you cannot find 40 minutes to be active, be active 10 minutes 4 times a day. Eliminate sugar and drink green tea. I boil a mug of water and add some lemon grass in it and drink it without sugar.

Eat small portions and stay away from Pepsi, Coca Cola and all other soft drinks.

I always enjoy reading books more. I feel the books contain a part of the writer’s soul and this spirit cannot seldom be caught on the screen. While reading a book we can view the protagonists and relate to them with our point of view or our life experiences but movies depict a director’s point of view.

Having said that, in recent times I have enjoyed the Hobbit movies, Lord of the Rings trilogy and Hunger Games movies. They were very well made and the scenes and battles were spectacular.

But most of the times I prefer to read books. Most movies I watch only once. Books I can read again and again and again without getting bored.

This is quite motivational @kaka135. You are earning at a good pace and also showing us that it is possible. $15-20 per month can be very substantial income.; Good luck and I wish you all the best.

I hope before end of May, we have many members cashing out.

@kaka135 That’s a great list. I am still feeling a bit lost here after Blogjob but many members seem very much at ease here. I am just concerned about low pay rate for a 300+ word blog post.
