I had about $11 or so, put in for $10, leaving the $1.+ to grab more.  Now I have $14.+ and will, at 1 Jan put in for $10 so that if I balance myself I will always have $10 to put in.

My view is to try to post 3 items a day.   When reaching $10 wait until the beginning of the month to put in for only that $10 even if you have $13.00  this will enable you to ‘start’ with $3.00 in your account for next month.

So… you join in June, you make 7.45, in July, after the 10th, you reach $10.00, by August first you have $11.00.  …[Read more]

kaylar wrote a new post, Understanding How to View Being a Senior 7 years, 11 months ago

As you get older, and you reflect on where you came from, life becomes a kind of drama.   You realise that you are at season 60,  while others have only begun season 19.

You know how the story is going to go, y […]

    • Growing old is part of life. And we learn about life as we grow. We learn the right from the wrong the best from the worst. You have to experience thing in order to learn the truth and the right from the wrong. There so many paths to take in life and as we grow we gonna experience alot. We learn how to love better than we did before we learn how to care better than before.we all going to grow old one day and we have to accept it. We can’t stay young forever. When you grow old things will begin to get less frustrating, because you know how to deal with and manage things better. We’re all gonna make mistakes as we grow. But it only helps us become better people and better at the things we do. So live life to the fullest. Never back down if you can’t get something right don’t worrie, you’ll soon become better and better at what you do..You can’t get everything right.

      • The reality is that once one reaches a certain age, few people want to take any advice or guidance and when you blurt out something, either they get angry or play they haven’t heard it and make their own mistakes.

    • You are fortunate to live in a society where Seniors are prized and respected. In other parts of the world, alas, that is not the case.

    • You may say the Macedonian kids did not break any laws. Sometimes people who lie don’t break any laws, but they sure cause a lot of damage! It brings to mind the fable of the boy who kept “crying wolf”. Only in the story when the wolf was a real danger, nobody believed the boy. In our case, you’re saying the kids “cried wolf”, a lot of people believed, but there was never a real wolf.

Whether or not there’s a connection between the Macedonians and the Russians … there’s a great probability or possibility that Russia could be a real wolf!

Americans are anti-Russian? Or will an investigation expose that the Russians are anti-American? The history of our relations shows that we were never “happily married”.

If a government of a country doesn’t take action to protect the citizens of that country, who will? If there is a possibility of wrongdoing, it needs to be checked. Whoever is in charge has to make that call.

    • Very good discussion. It can be a reflection to others. This might serve as a wake-up call to them and do good than what they used to do. Be humble than losing friends. Fame is useless if you don’t have friends.

Nice discussion. It inspires me a lot.

    • True self introspection and being humble one to keep his feet on the ground. Many a time fame, status and wealth play the spoilsport and build a false ego and attitude in a individual. This affects the growth of the individual in different ways. People would not want to interact and tolerate the nuisance which that person would be.

Many would like the company of other who are better and be happy with using their services. Rather than people as the above character. One more thing is I have observed if we try to help such people by pointing them the issue so that they may reform they will take it as a offence and get annoyed with us. Hence it is better to keep a safe distance from such people and not be one like them. Thanks for the share.

If you read the rules, if you put in for a redemption before the 10th of Month One you will be paid in Month Two on the 10th.  That means that if you put in for a redemption on the 17th of Month One it will not be looked at until the 10th of Month Two and you will be paid the 10th of Month Three.

In Jamaica, we know about Pepperpot…the Amerindians, in our case, the Tainu, did it.   Our national dish is ackee and saltfish.

Ackee comes from West Africa, saltfish was the preserved fish from Britain.

    • There are always two sides to ever coin. If an honest person can hide their computer activity, a dishonest person can too! You wouldn’t leave your door wide open, go to sleep, and simply believe that your home will be safe from intruders. Your computer is “your home in cyber space”. DO whatever you have to do to protect it from unlawful intrusion / invasion, without breaking the law yourself of course. Good safety tips! Thanks! 🙂

      • You have to think of your security and focus on it, just as a private person. One is astounded that any agency/organisation would take they security so lightly.

        • Well here’s the thing. The companies and corporations hire people they believe are qualified and will apply their knowledge, skills and abilities to keep the records safe and secure. From the CIO (Chief Information Officer) all the way down to the lowliest programmers, each is expected to “do their job”. When they don’t, bad things can happen. But sometimes, even though they did do their job, there was some malicious attacker out there who took aim and managed to break through anyway. Haven’t we seen buildings and banks with sophisticated alleged “burglar-proof” security systems but they were still broken into and robbed? Like you say though … you got to try to put up some kind of barriers. It’s business and it’s personal!

    • Wow I really enjoyed reading this topic. Marriage plays a big role in our lifes.its great to have that one love forever.but must a say it takes to too make a relationship not one. Your husband or wife is suppose to be your partner in everything. You want always agree with everything but you must learn to listen and understand your partner. Your partner is suppose to be your best friend at the same time. If you don’t show any effort that your trying at all then yes that can ruin EVERYTHING. You gotta show you care and give each other a chance. Don’t set boundaries that you know are impossible or one of the other will eventually get tired and start pulling away. Show each other that you care and wanna make the best out of every situation.

    • Is it new episodes of reruns?

    • The series is not complete. For many people who don’t live in the U.S. they either never got to watch the entire series, or saw a few episodes here and there.

If you live in the 3rd or 4th world many of these series are only available in complete form online.

Hence, watching an entire season is new and enjoyable.

kaylar wrote a new post, Sherlock vs Elementary; The Difference between British and American Television 7 years, 11 months ago

Casting Sherlock Holmes into a modern day environment has often been imagined.  In one way it is enticing, but also holds trepidation.  After all, he was a creature of Victorian England, with all the a […]

    • I enjoy Elementary with its fast talker main character and his more relaxed sidekick. As a matter of fact I enjoy any type of criminal investigation type show ranging from Elementary (of course), to Criminal Minds passing through NCIS and a whole lot more. Very down to earth post. Thank you.

      • If you get to watch Sherlock you’ll see how close they travelled to the original. Putting in many of the Old Holmes features in modern time and day. Elementary basically takes the name ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and a few traits, so it moves off more in its own direction.

        I like crime series myself.

    • “Sherlock, the British version, is absolutely delicious.” DITTO!!

“Elementary is a little harder to swallow.” Hard to swallow??!! How about: Makes you want to throw up!!

      Great review! 🙂

      • After falling in love with Sherlock; Elementary is not easy to accept. It takes a few epis and a movement away from Sherlock Holmes as we know him and as Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed. It is not a bad series, it is just not Sherlock Holmes.

        • It’s not Sherlock. It’s not even Watson! I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be very upset at what was done to his work!

          • As they did with ‘House’…(making a Holmes a House or some other nom de plume) then we could take it on its merits. But in Elementary Sherlock is odious. He is not eccentric, he isn’t brilliant, he’s insane. So I tend to watch it online, one epi a day or so, but as a kind of average crime show…

Having read Sir Conan Doyle much of my life, having seen this chap as Sherlock and that chap, I was completely captured by Sherlock because that was how I imagined him. And Cumberbatch brings a touch of humour a touch of vulerability..(just a touch) and the plots are carefully crafted.

There is really no comparison, it is like Usain Bolt compared to a High School track star.
