@bestwriter I experienced the same as Kyla explained. Once you saved it as draft, it is actually displayed in your Blog Dashboard with the status Offline, but you just can’t do anything with it.
Glad that I have saved a copy of the post in my computer, so I created another post and submitted that. You can create another new post for that, or as…[Read more]

@bestwriter I tend to vote up forum threads and replies as I read through them. I don’t always get all of them, but I try to show my appreciation for all the worthy remarks. If it helps fellow users to increase their rank, I think it is a kindness we can all try to remember to extend. After all, nobody will do it for us if we can’t be bothered for…[Read more]

@swalia/
congrats on your bonus! Glad that the @admin had heard and answered your suggestion. This is an ideal way to push forward writers to write quality posts.
I am sure the rest of us will achieve this bonus too. Let us work together to make LiteracyBase a successful site!
@bestwriter/
wow, you had the highest bonus award! Congrats! You…[Read more]

It is really great to hear about all those members who are receiving bonus awards for their quality posts.
Congrats @swalia @bestwriter
One thing that troubles me slightly is how many active members are here and can such few members sustain a site. Every day I see hardly 10-12 people here.
I also hope that this site grows and does not end belly up.

@bestwriter Actually my comment was meant as a bit of gentle teasing, Grace. You usually enjoy that sort of banter. I guess you aren’t feeling up to it right now. Too bad, really. Usually you’re so much fun to chat with…
I believe the word count could be added to the front-end submit form that we use here, but I’m actually hoping that higher rank will give us access to the back-end “new post” and “edit” functions. This will allow for better control over how posts display, and if combined with certain plugins it could also help users to improve SEO and customize…[Read more]

@bestwriter I read from another thread from this group, the team has been adding some security check on the site, and that might cause some comments missing, and they are trying to put back the missing comments too. I guess that’s why you didn’t see my comment here.
I have not try to insert photos, besides the featured image in my blog posts…[Read more]

@bestwriter @kaka135 I firmly believe that parents and not grandparents should be in charge of bringing up children.
Grandparents either tend to be too lenient towards grandchildren and bribe them with things which totally spoils the personality of children. Most cannot keep an eye on children’s activities in a way parents can.
Grandparents s…[Read more]

@bestwriter Yes, I totally agree with you. I always like the grandparents to spend time with the grandchildren, and also children of course, but the parents’ responsibility should really give back to the parents, not the grandparents. 🙂
Yes, there are surely some conflicts while bringing up kids. I am really glad that though my parents, parents…[Read more]
@bestwriter I do not think my parents and aunts think that, as they actually have their own activities to do and their friends in home town. But it’s just that they might be too protective to the children, or the children are too dependent on them, so they just have to help out the children. Of course, they are always happy to help the…[Read more]
@bestwriter Frankly speaking, sometimes I think the seniors I know here take care of their children and grandchildren too much. My uncle and aunt are taking care of their grandchildren, sending and picking them from school, they even help to check their homework. These should be done by the parents, not the grandparents, though I understand their…[Read more]
I agree that all of us should actually plan for our future, not just the seniors.
My parents already have plans for themselves, so even though we can’t support them financially, they can still live a good life. As children, we just always remind them to spend if they wish to, and there is no need to leave the money for us. Some parents here would…[Read more]

I agree with you.
We as parents, should start to plan for our old age plan now , at our 40s.
We need to invest our savings into other places where we could accumulate interest .
That means more money, easier lifestyle in future.
Then, we don’t have to worry when we are old.
We don’t have to show our hands to our kids, asking…[Read more]

@bestwriter
ditto here, I had uploaded 5 photos in my post using “insert photo” but the image pixel are very tiny, 150x 150.
I had to drag the photo to become larger and submitted.
Anyway, it came out small, as original. Doesn’t do much difference.
But the featured image was really really huge and clear!
@bestwriter I read your blog post, and I think it looks good. I am thinking if we add the featured image, we will only be able to insert one image, but if we insert image through the toolbar or add media, we will be able to insert multiple images in the post. Hope @support will help to confirm this.
I realized that my featured image in blog post…[Read more]
@bestwriter So, you managed to use “Add media” button to add two images inside the blog post, am I right? I have not try that before. I usually just use the “add featured image” function.
@grecy095 I always uploaded my image to Flickr first, then only copy the URL here. Though it’s more troublesome to do so, I can manage my images easier, and…[Read more]

@bestwriter. That’s true.Parents in 70s and 80s in our part of the world encouraged their children to go abroad for education and jobs. They were very proud of the fact that their children found work in Middle East, America and Europe but these children settled there, got married and left their parents behind
Now they may be well off but…[Read more]
