I agree with you. But sometimes love is a strange thing.
-
Hi Albena,
Thank you for your reply. Yes you are correct indeed that sometimes love is indeed so strange a thing.
Let’s focus on the word “strange”. Yes, falling in love is strange and mysterious as if we are hit by something from nowhere. It’s like being hit by the arrows of Cupid.
Maybe the mythological character of Cupid with his arrows and that he randomly shot anyone in his or her heart has a deep and hidden symbolism or meaning that it seek to conveys.
Love especially for young love is really full of emotions as if you are on a roller-coaster ride. Sometimes you reach the height of ecstasy but sometimes you reach the lowest ebb of despair.
No wonder that wise men said that it is only fools that rush in to love. Maybe that’s why we have the term or phrase “madly in love” since a person who is in love seems to be beyond his or her normal self.
Base on one’s experience a person who is in love is always subject to the interplay of emotions if not day-dreaming and state of fantasy every now and then.
Yes, we fall in love sometimes and what a strange a feeling love really is.

For me, love conquers all! I mean, in this world which is full of suffering the only thing we can hold on in life is love. First, we must love God as our creator of our being and the rest of the beautiful things around us. Second, before we love someone we must loved our self first as a symbol of self respect. Third, we must be grateful for all the person who always stay with us in our trials, in our happiness, sadness, loneliness, and success. The one we treasure most in this world is our family, friends and of course our so called significant other who bring a ray of sunshine in our gloomy life. No matter how successful you are in life you should always left your feet on the ground and stay humble at all times and never let anyone to control you. We should not treat each others as competitors but as brothers and sisters even great ocean seperate us, love will always unite us.
-
Hi ailema,
Thank you so much for your very meaningful and insightful reply. Yes love could indeed conquer all. As they say it in Latin “Amores vincit omnia”, which translated in English simply means “love conquers all”.
Yes, we human beings are governed by the Law of Love as summarized by the Great Rabbi in the Gospel: Love of God and Love of Neighbor which is the summary of the whole law in the Holy Scriptures. I think it is also known as the Golden Rule.
Thou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength and with all your spirit and you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. Who can opposed or object to these salutary commandments by our Lord?
It’s maybe the reason why our Lord Jesus Christ in the many Christian Art or Paintings is always pointing to His Heart which signifies Love above anything else.
I personally believe that the virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity or Love are the three most important virtues any man or woman could ever have and developed.
In closing, I remember the words of the Little Prince in the book with the same title, “It is only with the heart the one sees rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

@Arnold Cruz!
You said it all!
To explain more further there are many kinds of love which some of us knowFirst, THE LOVE OF GOD which is called “DIVINE LOVE!” It it the kind of love which God have to all of his children which is unfathomable and unmeasurable.
Second. THE LOVE THAT PARENTS HAVE TO THEIR CHILDREN is called “PARENTAL LOVE.
A love that shows care, comfort, and guidance in our every walking hours. Who can forget our very own mothers loving touch.Third. THE LOVE THAT YOU HAVE TO YOUR FRIENDS OR RELATIVES is called “PLATONIC LOVE.” Truly, a friend is like a pillow the one you can hug when you’re in sorrow or just somethings to hold when you’re feeling cold.
Fourth. THE LOVE THAT WE FEEL TOWARDS OPPOSITE SEX is called. “ROMANTIC LOVE.”
Most people often fall for romantic love maybe because due to attraction with a certain traits of a specific person to his or her physical attributes. Romantic Love cannot even stand the test of time. But true love does. What is the course of love? Basically, its all about communication, sharing and openness. A love which has the essence of maturity and unity will last forever. -
Love is a strange thing and individual to everyone who feels it. I’m a romance writer and I look into the many different types of romantic love everyday. From the perfect love that lets us live happily ever after to the dysfunctional love that some of us are better off avoiding. Most humans have a drive for the romantic love, but it can be hard to find a perfect match. Beyond the love there must be compromise, understanding and communication for any type of love to flourish.

I agree with you, the Vice President has the duty to speak and serve the country if she finds something’s not happening right or in accordance with what is true and just.
I hope everything would be fine for our beloved country.
-
Hi acelawrites,
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes we all hope that all our country’s ill and problems will just go away just like by the wink of an eye or by just one click of one’s fingers.
But the reality of the political landscapes in our country is far from ideal. It seems that it is always politics as usual in our country. Well, as they say the people deserves the kind of leaders that we elect into public office.
The partisan political interest along political party lines is very self-evident in the case of the threat of impeachment against VP Leni Robredo.
It seems that there is a concerted effort on the part of the Duterte Administration to silence all and every opposition or political opponents that is vocal and critical with current power that be.
Just look what happened to Sen. Leila de Lima. It is not far-fetched that the same fate may happen to VP Leni Robredo especially that the present administration has powerful control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
I do not want to sound too alarmist or too pessimistic with what’s going on in our country but all the sign and symptoms of a pending political cataclysms are already there written on the wall.

-
Hi Shavkat,
Thank you for your reply and it is much appreciated. I agree with your observation that it seems that everything is spinning out of control in our country.
Indeed, powers corrupts and more power corrupts absolutely may be a quotation in point with what’s happening in our beloved country.
Likewise, in the country of the blind the one who rule is a one-eyed king or something to that effect.
It seems the Mr. Duterte is already intoxicated with the allure of power or perhaps an illusion of grandeur on his part? Just look on how he pontificates every now and then. Perhaps he is already too in love with hearing his own voice so much so that he is already deft to the shout and cry of the people?
What I cannot stomach from our current President is the expletives and bad mouthing that he is always indulging into. How could you respect such kind or type of leader when he himself has no common courtesy to others or having no GMRC at all.
We even teach the good moral and right conduct to our young ones even in the nursery and kindergarten yet our very President to my mind has no GMRC at all with regards to others especially with the other Head of States.
Please pardon me for saying so.

My take of terrorism is there is no good or bad terrorists. A terrorist is a terrorist. He knows only to kill people may be it is their fellow citizens people of their same faith or other faiths. The problems starts with the governments of developed nations who take their support to do their bidding. There are some countries which are a haven for terrorists. They provide all sort of training, use of weapon, use of handling explosives all this in the name of ideologies.
These countries then use them as an arm of the military who do subversive and covert operations. They use it against the countries with whom they do not seem to enjoy friendly relations. But these countries get annihilated. As the terrorists they breed know nothing constructive but to kill and be killed. Developed nations should see that they neither take the help of these outfits, nor support them to fight against the countries with whom they have problems. These terrorists are the scum of the earth.

Yes…you are right to above mentioned article about religion. Origin of religion is cosier as old as human civilization trying to become as a setelled community. Why it happened to necessity of religion. It is a very deep question relating religion.
Some tells that it was fear which in forms of nature and animals first introduced. Then after to control over community. This feature of religion continued for long periods with worshiping their ancestors also. Both there were several drawbacks of this type of religion. Some people became mighty and some very weak.As always be ,mighty oppresses weaker section. Then all times of history there come a great human being to save weaker section with his thoughts .His ideas and teachings take a form of of religion. Follower of those teachings are considered as different community. Cristianity, Islam,Buddhism are those type of religions started by such great human beings.
They presented an example of simple living and there are billions of followers of above mentioned religions.
In modern computer age as education and technology is growing importance of it is reducing it has still a great impression of society.Society run according to the religious format.Bith ,marriage and death all customs related are associated with it. -
The blog is nice and good but for the mention of the Carl Marx quote which is totally absurd. Marx himself is a communist and the communist could never lead a happy role in any place on the planet. For Marx this may be Opium. Why the Head of China is worried about Mr. Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister Mr. Li Peng is feeling chill of his backbone with the visit of Mr. Lama.
Religion is not made. It is a combination of a set of principles and guidelines that can satisfy the people of their doubts with regard to birth, death, and afterlife as you said rightly.
This is important for a peaceful living of a set of community in a proposed area without being overlapped by any other faiths of any other groups or religious belief.
What we are calling development, technology, modernization is all the thrown-out remains of the Ancient cultures and Civilizations. They used them all, researched on everything, finally thrown them aside as did not satisfy their needs except creating unrest among various people. The dirt which they have thrown out has become a great technological development for us and we are still playing like kids calling ourselves developed which is not at all a truth. The ancients are far superior in their knowledge than the modern scientists. Their way of dealing with nature was confined to four corners of a Laboratory. They enjoyed nature, they played with it and finally drafted rules which appear now, as scriptures in various religions which unfortunately we do not comprehend and keep them aside as TRASH. We are actually a big trash thrown out of their culture.
Even after the so-called development, we are guided by inhibitions, doubts, unrest, poverty, selfishness, xenophobia, hydrophobia, our own safety, our own society, our own belief (narrowed down to lanes and streets)and even territorial jurisdiction. If we are really developed we should have broken the boundaries laid down by Religions. We are not doing it, and we can not.If by chance, anybody takes a step to cross the boundaries then he will find ultimately that what he said was already mentioned in the religious scriptures. We talk about love, passion, etc., These are already mentioned in the Bible. We talk about humanism which is already played important roles in the administration of the Ancient Rulers.
To conclude, we achieved a big NIL. When we question ourselves as to the achievements we made with our technology, there is nothing to be proud of. Only some BIKINIS (EVEN these were available IN India and worn by INDIAN SADHUS on the Seashores) We are already bikinied (making one finally naked) by our administrators with false promises on Development and service.

I don’t know if music is the language of the soul but I do know I love music.
-
It is so good to know that you love music. What type of music do you like to listen to? Are you listening to music every day? Do you go to concert? Maybe I’m asking too much from you.
I have long love-affair with music that started during my high school days. I use to listen to love song which nowadays they called “ballad”; although from what I know ballad is usually associated with poetry.
Since then my love for music keeps on growing. I like country/folk, jazz, love song, classical, new age, new wave, slow rock and other musical genre. My taste for different kind of music is almost eclectic.
I like so many singer and artist. I have so many tapes and CD collections through the years. Most of my favorite music are the constant source of my inspiration in life.
I love to hear and discover new music—songs that I never heared before. I also like to read books about the lives of great musicians and composers.
I hope that your love and appreciation for music will grow as the year passes by. As I write this reply I’m listening to Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Season”.
Talk to you soon.

I don’t get the idea how come the press or media entities and people are the enemy, in the first place they are the mediator for the people and the government. They are giving news and information constituents to government and vice versa.
It doesn’t mean the when they hurt people or expose the wrong agenda of the state that they are the enemy now. Sometimes this is just misinterpretation.
Though I think, sometimes its the sides or angles that the media and press people they present that they are being hit. But being being biased, for me, is when you attacked one people or entity and don’t the side of that concern person. But even when you attacked but tried to get their comment, that is fair– well, as far as myself is concern.
-
I absolutely agree with your observation and comment. The remarks that “the fake news is the enemy of the people” came from no less than Mr. Donald Trump himself.
He misunderstood the vital role of the press or media. Yes you are right, media may be considered as the “mediator” between the government and the people which it governs. That’s why it is called the “Fourth Estate” or “The Fourth Power” in society. It implies press/media’s role and importance.
In every democratic government and society throughout the world, the value and importance of the press/media is cherished. Without the press or media, there would be no efficient transmission of knowledge and informations; there would be no basis for the variety of views and opinions, not to mention intelligent debates on any social issues of the day.
The media or press can truly make or break anyone when it wanted to. It could also be a force to reckon. Its primary role to my mind is to make every one aware on what’s going on around us.
With awareness comes knowledge. And with knowledge comes intelligent decision to act, to make the voice of the people heared by the government or any power that be.
-
-
Mr.Trump did not know how a media organization works. He did not know that journalists have a set of Tenets that they follow in the course of their job as news gatherer; news provider. There could be some rotten eggs in the media, but not all of them are bad; there are still crusading ones who value the truth so much, because credibility is very important to them.
-
yes they are the enemy due to the fact that people depend on them in the past to knwo the news but for the bad luck there is not much morals now adays and the media or social media become trade and keys that business world get big bite of it to serve there business and fool some people, that is how it works
