Incredible! I just published a post in another community about Donations. My bottom line is: Income is income. Donations are donations. Income should result from working. Donations are contributions usually as an act of charity. But with the advent of ad blockers, some entrepreneurs working for profit place the Donate button at their site. Are there any other options or alternatives for the online workers?
-
Only option is paid work. Because free work supported with ads is not going to last long. So I think we have to either charge for work or just not publish things online.

OK. I don’t agree with you. But I’m no prophet and can’t predict the future. So I can’t really argue with you either because I don’t know enough. Let’s just say … I have hope! 🙂
-
Haha that is totally fine. I don’t know the future too, I am just checking the trend.

I do not like MLM business; it is quite deceiving! Do you pertain to online writing/blog sites where there is passive income? It is true, one can never have a leisurely life out of online passive income.
-
Indeed online income looks merely like a dream rather than reality. It like almost impossible to earn online income unless you are doing online business.

I too, wasn’t able to make it to the minimum cash out last April.
I actually planned to make it this month, however, it seems May will not give me my goal.
With the homecoming last 7th, our batchmates and I for our Legazpi City group have practiced almost 2 times a week to make up for the no practice during the past Holy week.
Then, when May 4 comes ( our Alumn homecoming was May 07) we had more practice and this time at the school’s auditorium for the general rehearsal. Since my batchmates from abroad and Manila have arrived during those days, we always have dinners at night and a party on the 5th.
Oh, May flew so fast. With the heat along with those practices and lack of sleep during those days, five days after the event, I got sick with pneumonia.
And there, I wasn’t able to come here at all for long. But I am hoping I can make it this month for the payout and hopefully be paid too.

WOW! I’ve heard various complaints about HUBPages but this is my first time ever hearing this one. That’s a very sinister and devious trick. I find it hard to believe hopping HUBBERs would do that.
I know what “flagging” is for but I rarely use the feature. In fact, I can’t think of when I’ve ever used the feature unless it was to flag a comment that looked like spam or was offensive. As for published content by fellow writers and bloggers? I would have to think long and hard before I click on a flag.
I am extremely cautious about flagging a person’s content … that is to say their “hard work”. Especially flagging it so that I could steal it!
Of course, it should be easy to track the tricksters and expose them. Don’t you think?
At any rate, this is a matter HP management and staff should review thoroughly. Do you know if it has been reported to them? I should think they would want to examine and put a stop to it. It gives the entire site a bad reputation for allowing unethical behavior.
