Those Meandering Paths that Add Glamour

One needs a bit of imagination to convert a garden, however small it might be,  into a veritable paradise. Looking for exotic flowers is not the way. But growing what grows easily adding colour throughout the year is what one should look for. Gardening is a great hobby that keeps one off worries and the day to day drudgery. Gardening means expectations. A bud here, a fruit there, new lush green shoots, plants coming to life are some of things that one can look for every day, not to speak of the healthy exercise that gardening provides. Reaching for something high up for example,  could be a great stretching exercise.

A well appointed garden needs to have several garden artifacts such as statues, colourful pots, rockeries, rock lights, garden benches, arches  and added to these are garden paths. Garden paths not only make strolling around a pleasure they also help to keep weeds in control particularly in  that area which one uses to walk around. Paths also make gardens look artistic if they have some curves and bends. Garden paths can be constructed using several materials. Some have simple concrete paths but have them in colour to merge with their concept. Interlocked paving tiles though expensive are a choice of several. Gravel and pebbles add glamour to any garden. Pebbles are not so much in demand as walking on them is not very comfortable.

When flowers, shrubs and greenery get a beating because of setbacks these features keep the look of a garden going. Overcrowding however should be avoided specially if the garden area is small.

I have these paths meandering all over my garden.  It is nice to see our pet walking in the garden using these paths. She never tramples on plants.
