Listening to music improves work

Imagine working in an office with complete silence. Nothing to do but listen to your pen writing or the clicks os the computer. This silence can bore someone and make the day feel like it passes by slower. It can make you feel like you don’t want to work or doesn’t make you work hard enough.

There are times i am in my office and i am in silence and it feels lonely and boring. I could have all the work in the world to do but wouldn’t be motivated to do so.

Those times i have alot of work on my hands i go you youtube, put some music that i feel like listening to at the time and put it on auto play. I don’t know why but when i listen to music it motivates me to work and for some reason makes it feel like the time is passing by quicker.

It is a simple little thing that someone can do to get motivated. This happens to those working in the elaboration area where they fix things. There are days it is so queit with no music and feels like everyone hates each other. Once they turn the radio on you see them singing every once in a while and notice that their spirits are lifted.

This is good for a company when people are in a good mood they tend to work better and music makes this happen. Music is a kind of entertainment and if your mind is entertained while you work it feels much better then listening to yourself work.

This can also help in times of stress, people who listen to much and feel stressed out tend to start singing and this can calm them down a bit. This helps the work environment making sure everyone tries to stay peaceful under pressure.

Those days we have no music on are almost depressing. Feels like the world is going to end, it feels like stress is building up in ours bodies and this is something we shouldn’t have at work.

This doesn’t happen just with work, can be school or even doing home tasks. When we have music on it gives us a push of motivation. Cleaning your car with music and without music are completely diferent. At some point it almost feels fun to do tasks when you are listening to music than just the eco of the things you are doing.

If you think it isn’t true then try it out or just observe those that work with music and without music. There is a huge diference in attitude and everything. Their performance changes also. It doesn’t matter what kind of person you are, if you are listening to what you like then it will lift your mood up and help you at your job or doing your tasks.

When you clean you house, open up the windows and put on some loud music to accompany you through your home chores. It seems fun, makes you feel like you have done things faster or even do you tasks faster.

Do you work with music?

    • Earlier I used to work and listen to music but now it is either work or just listen to music. I do not know why it has become like that with me. I tried to listen and work in between but found it difficult to do two things at a time. So now its only one thing one time. But I like music and work. Each have its importance.

One more thing I would like to share is that if I am doing some simple task like cleaning or sweeping or dusting at such times I do listen to music and do the work both of them at the same time. Music has the power to heal, make one reach spiritual heights, appreciate different genre of music and listen to ragas and compositions of various kinds. Through music if one would want to one can reach God. In India many have reached God through this path. This is called Bhakti Marg.

    • It could inspire workers to work better especially when they like the music; it prevents them from feeling sleepy or tired. I like soft music too while writing or doing some home chores.

    • Yes, I almost always work with music, but music is not loud, just as a background. It calms me and helps to focus on work. Even now I listen the music when writing.

    • I am in this school of thought. Music helps my work done faster although not so much of office work for me. At home, it works fine, while cleaning, bathing, doing the dishes, I must have my music turned on. As a matter of fact, my exercise is strictly dance cardio. There's a connection with music for me. I listen to the lyrics which have a deep meaning. Music calms me down when I'm sad, it inspires me to do more as well. I just love music. I hope my neighbours don't come knocking on door one day for disturbance.

    • not to me, here it irritate me and make me not abloe to work or concentrate on what im doing, im not fan for music but i like it but also not at work or while studying, i will never do it, though women able to do things at the same time and this one no for sure, thanks for the post
