Let’s Try to Beat Cancer With The Help Of These Vitamins

Cancer is a disease that can devastate one stricken by it . Though, if one know how to stay positive and find ways to control it, then they can survive.

And for those who wants to prevent themselves from having it, they can take some tips from wha I will be sharing. I actually have read them in that book at the picture that I was able to read because it was blackout last Saturday in our place.

Anyway, here they are ;

1. Vitamin C

I am so happy upon reading that Vitamin C can help prevent cancer. I take 1000 mg of vitamin C as prescribed to me by the gynecologist who operated me for Total Abdominal Hysterectomy when I was just 38 years old.
The cancers it can protect from are , for the stomach , mouth , pancreas and esophagus. It can also help in preventing cancers of the breast, cervix , rectum and even lung cancer.
Actually, we get vitamin C from lots of fruits and vegetables , especially the citrus fruits , nectarines, oranges, ponkan, pomelo and a lot more. Pineapple also has plenty of it in addition to its other vitamin content and health benefits.

2. Vitamin E

If you are an eater of high-fat diet, you are most likely to be having a higher chance to have cancer. In this case, you need Vitamin E, because it helps by stabilizing those fats and help in eliminating those toxic chemicals from your body.
Some of the good sources are olive oil and wheat germ oil and having supplements of it is also good.

3. Beta Carotene and Vitamin A

Vitamin A orginates from beta carotene, meaning beta carotene is turned into Vitamin A in our bodies.
We can get beta carotene from natural sources such as apricots, spinach and broccoli. For the vitamin A you can get them from dairy products and liver.
Though there is a caution in taking vitamin A because high dose can be toxic. So it is best to be taken as prescribed by the doctor.
Also it is said in the book that for smokers, taking beta carotene supplements will be more likely for the smokers to get lung cancer than when they eat foods rich in it.

4. Vitamin B, Folic Acid

It is said that women should get enough B vitamin , folic acid so you won’t get the risk of having precancerous changes in the cervix. The foods rich in folate acid are spinach , beans and broccoli.

5. Anti-Oxidants in Vitamins

Vitamin E , C and beta carotene are some of the best antioxidants . Though, they are said to have a better effect in preventing cancer if they are taken naturally from foods than those from supplements.

6. Selenium

Studies have found that selenium may lower your risk of getting cancer of the prostate, colon and lung.

The foods rich in selenium are brazil nuts, brocolli, cabbage, garlic , chicken , radish, brewer’s yeast and seafood.

Though taking too much of selenium can have serious side effects so it must also be under the supervision or as prescribed by the doctor.

And it is always best to be getting those vitamins from fruits and vegetables.

Other than these vitamins , green tea is said to be a big help in lowering the risk for certain cancers like that of the stomach, gastrointestinal, liver , pancreas, lung and esophagus.

There you go, I hope everyone have learned something from my sharing these things that I have read.

    • Useful information. But my experience with people who I knew who had cancer is what I would like to share. In many of the cases people were healthy, ate good food did not have major health issues for more than 20 years. But suddenly were diagnosed with cancer when they had some other health issue for which they went for treatment. Two of them passed away within six months after coming to know of it.

While the third gentleman whom I knew well had put up a fight with cancer and doctors were surprised with his recovery as it was in final stages. But after a few months of this recovery which took place in one and half years. Cancer again reappeared in his body and he suffered a painful death.

This person had no bad habits was a teetotaler and ate food in the house only did not consume junk food. It was unfortunate that he could not succeed in his fight. But there are many success stories too. That was because in their case cancer was diagnosed early. That did the trick.

      • @Krishna Kumar ,

That is true. It is an advantage that we discover an ailment earlier than discovering it later because it will already be so difficult to battle it.

Sad indeed that others lives a healthy lifestyle, yet they still had cancer.

In this case, i think it is already in the genes. It is said that when family members had cancer, we are at risk too.

That is why, Angelina Jolie had done what she can to combat cancer of the breast while it was early. Her mother had it and she too may be at risk with it.
