The title of this post might startle you. How come one get to learn lessons from a Bollywood movie? But yes, at times, different things can teach us a lesson. Even a not so fine made Bollywood movie of early 1980s.
The movie is Mr. Natwarlal, made in early 1980s. The movie’s plot is nothing unique.
Amitabh Bacchan is in the title role of Mr. Natwarlal, who is the brother of an honest police officer, played by Ajit(yes, the villain Ajit of movies like Zanjeer, Kalicharan and Warrant), whom a certain illegal Diamond miner and the villain of the game Vikram(Amjad Khan) had wronged in the past.
Natwarlal is into dubious trades, the inkling of which his police officer brother gets, and he is indirectly warned too.
Later Natwarlal embarks on a mission to stop Vikram’s reign of terror on a village, from where he takes away people through his armed men, and makes them slaves.
There are dramatic scenes, lots of action and finally, the villain pays for his sins.
The story is not very unique or fabulous, but here are some lessons which I got:
1)No matter how much rich or powerful one becomes, if one has committed crimes, the karmic forces get the better of him or her sooner or later.
2)Do not push anyone, even the frailest and the weakest to a corner. God has ways in which such people will ultimately revolt and get other sit up and notice.
3)An actor who can essay the role of a villain in a great way- Ajit as Lion in Kalicharan and Don Teja in Zanjeer can also play a supporting role of a good person in a good way as Ajit proved in this movie.
I have seen that even actors like Kiran Kumar, Danny, Amrish Puri etc who played some very terrible villains and baddies, played the role of supporting actors or character roles very well. Same applies to Amjad Khan, who played some good supporting roles like that in Qurbaani and more movies.
4)Unity coupled with faith and good intelligence makes you face formidable challenges with great success, as can be seen in the way Natwarlal helps the village folks to face the armed goons of Vikram.
There were challenges, and even a lot of pain, but these were overcome.
Well, and foremost is that one enjoys seeing the movie 🙂

Fan of Amitabh Bacchan (and his son and his son's wife). Not familiar with this film. Will have to search for it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, everyone one on has different thoughts, feelings and emotion and fans I learn from everyone in life because everyone has something to teach other on earth and in life.
We have to allow ourselves to be loved by the people who really love us, the people who really matter. Too much of the time, we are blinded by our own pursuits of people to love us, people that don't even matter, while all that time we waste and the people who do love us have to stand on the sidewalk and watch us beg in the streets! It's time to put an end to this. It's time for us to let ourselves be loved
The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself
And then I felt sad because I realized that once people are broken in certain ways, they can't ever be fixed, and this is something nobody ever tells you when you are young and it never fails to surprise you as you grow older as you see the people in your life break one by one. You wonder when your turn is going to be, or if it's already happened.
I learn these words from life.
This is what exactly the motto of Tourism should be. To change one should learn and to learn one should expose oneself. When does it happen? Unless you open up yourself. This can happen when you take a tour . Meet different people unlimited in number and move with the locals. Be a local in a foreign country. Moving with them. Don't know their language. It does not matter. They can understand your feelings and help you. Finally, you will learn many things. This is life. Every step is meant for learning and moving freely with an open mind. There is no place for cunning or treachery. If you do not like anything nobody forces you to accept it.
Dat's why I always say when you want to know about the world make a travel to other places and if you want to know what you are travel alone.
you come across many connections and breaks . Think always that the world is very big enough to give a six feet place for you. There are many to share your happiness and sorrow. Be bold and open and move ahead with time.
These are classic movies of the 70's. In fact all Amitabh's movies have repeat watch value. I can watch number of times. And yes, there are all subtle lessons if you take it positively.
@gautamdotcom yes I like most of the 1970s and 1980s Amitabh starrer.
@shivamani indeed traveling exposes us to a lot many things and learnings.
@cmoneyspinner and @jhsayyar thanks for sharing your comments.
