Learning the Art of Story Telling

I think many of us are good writers. But there is some art in telling the story and putting down the articles. I think that’s something we all have to look forward to. I am not sure how many people can write a good story. I am sure however that some people do know how to end the story well. That’s because some of us know how predictable any story can be. It can be some of the times tiring if you know what the story is going to be dragged onto. But it all comes down with some routine. I have learned to accept story telling as an art instead of some rule. Because you can’t write a good story on the basis of a rule. You have to take some stories into ending which is more twisted. In this article we see how the story telling has variables to which you have to pay attention.

Engaging People

You have to understand that some of the time, you have to learn to engage the people. You have to learn the art of engaging people to the story. You can write anything related to the plot. But it has to engage the people. They need to read on one page at a time. And they should move onto another page. This is something every writer needs to learn. Because that skill is something you have to learn without rules of grammar and stuff. Because that can be fixed. But art of flow in story is not something you’d learn. You have to understand how you can make any story good enough.

Flow

One of the biggest point with the story telling is the flow. How your story moves from one scene to another requires a skill. And that is an art in itself. You cant just write the story like elephant came into jungle and it destroyed stuff. Because that’s too obvious. You have to learn to write the story and then build on it. I have seen that some of the times, this flow of story requires an effort too. You can learn from other writers and then decide if you are one of those who can twist the flow in the plot. And then make it engaging. You can see that it would not be easier to do in first few attempts.

Plot

One of the biggest power in the story is it’s plot. And you should never underestimate that part. The reason being plot is what makes and breaks the story. Your plot decides how much you can do with it. You can’t write plot that engages people and also remains simple. Because plots which are engaging are usually complex. And you can’t have a good plot without adding lot of mixture of the subplots in it. That’s why this is one of the important component in the story. Something that every writer needs to pay attention into. Never forget your story comes completely inside plot or theme of your book.
