I work with excel in everyday job. And working with it taught me many things with the data. And these small skills never go waste for me. I learned this software and managed to teach it for others. And they are also doing good. No matter what type of job you do, at some point in time you are going to use excel. And this means you have to learn how to use the software. And this way you have to rely on the skills. Before going for any job, learn how to use this software because almost every software job makes use of the excel at some point. Be it office desk job, data entry, VA and other jobs. You may have to use excel. And excel has plenty of free options too these days. Excel even has the free version with Office online software. In this article we discuss how learning excel helped me in many ways.
Monthly Budget
You can use the excel for setting up monthly budget at home. And you can use it for logging the cashflow. For example, you can add the incoming money whenever you have job income added. And you can add the outgoing money for every cash that goes through transaction. Monthly budget spreadsheet is not going to be easy to maintain. Because often we are going to be out of motivation to update it. But it can be done. And handling this will surely help you get overview with the personal finance. And this is one reason I feel that learning how to use the excel software never goes out of skill.

Lot of times you’d find that some problem is already solved by other people. And they can have it as a template. Though most of the templates are empty. It is you who have to fill the data inside it. And you have to make sure that the templates have some sort of information there. You can find out that templates are not easy to manage for some people. So in such case learning how to use is another skills that will never go waste. You just have to learn how to make use of the templates the right. As you can see this can open up a lot bigger opportunity for you. And that’s why I feel that this skill never go to waste.

There are plenty of small jobs out there where you can apply the excel skills. And not only it helps you in saving time. It can also earn you some money. For example, you can find out some of the remote jobs where you can help someone with excel work and make some good money. That seems to be the case for many people out there. Small jobs on sites like upwork, freelancer can definitely be a good option in such case. You may not earn as much as something to replace the real work. But you can earn enough to get you some money to pay the bills. That has been working for many these days.
As you can see excel learning is always going to pay off in one way or another. And that skill definitely is going to give you more opportunity for sure.

Yes. I do agree with you. I concentrated only on Unix programming when I was doing my computer course. I was excellent in writing programs in Unix. I liked it very much. I neglected some software especially the Excel. My friend was doing a very good job on Excel and spreadsheets. There was another lady working for the World Bank in our office. She was quite thorough and everything was on her fingertips. Whenever we get any problem we were consulting her and she was solving them in minutes. I really wondered how much hard work she had made to gain that perfection.
She was playing with Excel actually. She was making row and columns and using many insert commands and photograph and typing as per the choice of their officers. The officer was also having several options for his subject as he had to prepare many slide shows for the use of the World Bank work.
The website like up work, freelancer have got a lot of work and who is perfect in Excel can earn money without any trouble. I have seen many people making good money out of this software.
Even now also whenever I get time I try to practice it. But, it is not perfect that much. Still, I believe that knowledge never goes waste. Learning something fetches money on one day or the other. Not only in terms of money, it will come to your help on one day or the other.
