Leaning About Different Ways to Draw

Even as a child I love to draw and doodle and it’s something that has carried on into adulthood. Learning to draw does take time and practice but once you’ve mastered a few basic technique and concepts drawing should become second nature.

I used to feel that drawing faces was one of the hardest things to master particularly getting the nose and lips to look like nose and lips. Getting the nose to look like a nose and the lips well they’d always end up looking I don’t know what but certainly not lips. Until I learned a few things a long the way that made it a little easier.

When your first learning to draw one thing to keep in mind is that every drawing is basically a series of lines arranged in such a way to look like an object and this is particularly true when drawing faces. When I was first learning to draw faces I found it especially helpful to use graph paper and a ruler to assure that  the eyes, nose and mouth would line up. After  practicing this a few times you begin to just know where to put things and wont need to use graph paper or a ruler but at first it really does help to do it that way.

Another tip I was given that I found really helpful is don’t worry about shading and getting in every detail concentrate on mastering one thing at a time like the eyes, then the nose and the mouth. Then once you’ve got that down then start adding in the details.

When you finally master the face, getting the eyes just right and the nose to look like a nose and the lips to look like lips then you can start doing what most of us might think as the fun part of drawing adding the details and what we call shading such as giving more detail to those nose and lips and shading the eyes just right to make them pop. With a little practice this can become the best part of drawing.

    • Really drawing is an interesting activity bit a bit difficult especially drawing human faces in different shapes. It is a time snatching activities and everyone cannot raw faces as they are. It is a technical art given by to special people on earth.

I have been a drawing master since my childhood. There are some basic points to remember in drawing faces as..

Draw an oval slightly wider at the top than bottom
On the middle horizontal line, draw two almond shapes - these are the eyes
Down the center line, draw a nose.
Go back up to the top horizontal line
Add a mouth. Make a flat
      Drawing the hair
      Finish with the neck
Add a collar or neckline of some sort
      Finished.

Follow these five steps you will be able to draw accurately human faces with pencil colored or black. Further keep in mind these points,,

Keep in mind the expression of the person for whom you are sketching.
Don't give up, but accept criticism. It will make you better.
Sketch lightly on the first outline.
If you don't get it right, try again. If you end up wanting to rip your paper, take a break to blow off some steam.
Make daily rough sketches of people you see in media or on the streets.
Add different tones and shades to show different parts of the face.
Concentrate on every detail because the smallest ones can make a difference.
Always try to focus on your pencil tip; it should be sharpened. You must draw figures with light hands in order to erase unwanted marks.
As you know the old saying practice makes perfect
Keep in mind the small details like freckles and beauty spots and make sure it looks like the person. You won't get it right the first time so be careful and don't press too hard.
