The La Nina Effect

Just last night it was raining hard that the road in front in of our home flooded. Then this morning it was so hot that at around 8:30 in the morning the sun rays are pricking to my skin. Then this afternoon the rain blow out again in our place with a buzz of the air that makes the rain sweeping.

The rain continues to splash in the country two weeks ago or so. The past days are so boring that people just need to stay inside their house because of the continuous rain. Students cannot go to school to avoid untoward incidents in the roads even in their schools. Too bad the television needs to be on or else they would be swimming in the flood.

While flood in our place ceases immediately but some provinces are bracing to their worst of water world where they need to go on living level of water up to their toes for up to weeks if not for months. Some places got worst of the news due to the landslides like in Benguet provinces.

Government cannot provide the water but only can help through irrigation projects they would fund in the rural villages. But too much water is not necessary in the cities and urban places. • Part of me gets happy when the weather reports that there is a hurricane. I'm happy for the rain or the water. But I get very happy if it by the time it reaches landfall it has died down enough not to do any real damage.

    • La Nina is a phenomenon which waters in the equatorial regions of the Pacific Ocean are unseasonably cool. The cooler waters affect the atmosphere above the ocean, causing significant changes in climate, though usually not as significant as the changes that occur during an El Niño. As a result of heavy rain clouds and trade winds it may effect into any form of calamities like heavy rain fall, flash flood, and landslide. We must be responsible to take care of mother nature and used our natural resource in a very convenient way without destroying its value.

    • Our country is experiencing rains lately. How much more in my city, it has been more a month that we are experiencing non-stop monsoon rains. It was also a good thing that I am working at home and no need to go out.
