A job that requires you to travel frequently is a very tiring job

Many air stewards and stewardesses like the job that requires them to travel frequently when they first joined.

In fact, the opportunity to fly and to see new places is the reason for taking up this job.

After a few years, they get so sick of travelling so frequently.   They come to realize that being an air steward or stewardess is not such a glamorous job after all.

When someone gets sick, and vomit in the toilet, guess who is the one to clean after the passenger?  The junior steward or stewardess gets it.

Many of them can afford to hire a full time helper at home to take care of the housework, and yet when they are on the job, they have to clean toilet!

Another reason that they hate to fly frequently is when they are on long haul route that requires them to leave home a few times a month.

It is especially tough for an air stewardess who is in the first trimester of her pregnancy.  If she does not fly, she will not get her flight allowance.

If she flies, she will get sick, and the frequent change in time zone is not good for her health.

It is very tiring, and some of them quit for a job that allows them to go home every night.  It is hard to say goodbye to young kids and go away for a few days.

When they quit, they often have to take a very deep pay cut.

Some senior flight stewards and stewardesses can get $6000 to $8000 a month.  They get other perks such as staying in a good hotel for free, and they get free air-tickets for their families too.

When they quit and take on a land job, they are likely to get just $2000 to $3000 a month in fixed salary. There is no flight allowance or free air ticket anymore.

Many jobs have such requirements of frequent travelling, but not everyone can take a change in time zone so frequently.
