Women’s Day or International Womens Day is a popular celebration around all over thw world. It is the celebrated on March 8 every year around the world. On this day, each and every country celebrates the achievements of women in cultural, political, social and economic also.It is the time to take stock of women’s lives in the world today.
Great progress has been made in education and for the women more broadly. Still, so much work remains to ensure that women are teh empowered, and educated, safe also ,and healthy, free to be fully participating members of equal the societies.
We need approaches, such as self organizing and campaigning for women’s rights, gender sensitive education, and including men in fight for equality, and that go beyond business as usual. At global level, it is critical that the next set of the development goals hold factors to better account for progress for women and girls.
Empowering women in the India it is necessary to bring the gender equality or we can say that gender equality is very necessary to empower women.Gender equality is to first step to bring women empowerment in India. Men should not understand that the women are made only to handle household chores or take responsibility of home and family. Instead, both woman and men are responsible for everything of daily routine life. Men too need to understand their responsibility of home and family, kids and all other works women do so that women can get some time too.
in many countries, the situation for women is improving at the highest levels of leadership and the among the poor, even if slowly. There are now 17 (seventeen) female heads of state around the world
In India, the case for renewed commitment to women and the girls is clear. The government has made significant efforts to improve the conditions for women and girls, including creating a large scale girls’ education program that provides schools and support for the girls in rural areas and has already helped to narrow the gender gap. Still, much remains to be done by government and all other stakeholders.
If all challenges that women and girls face, to some, having no voice is the among the most intolerable. Heroines the all over the world who struggle to be free and to make their voices heard, even when the confronting lethal consequences. Malala zaidi was shot because she voiced the right to education for women in Pakistan, and Nirbhaya in India was brutally raped and murdered because she was expressed her right to travel freely.
Our society and the culture in Vedic Period was far better than our so called modern society. In Vedic Period women were educated, enjoyed the equal status,Now used to get married at a mature age and had full rights. In Medieval Period status of women further deteriorated and many unwanted rituals were being followed blindly such as Sati burning a widow at the pyre of her husband. And hild marriage, no remarriage of widows also, physical and the sexual assault against women. These shattered woman to her soul and the tore her apart. Sill such customs are part of our society though not completely but yes in remote areas where girls are married to a men much older than themselves and it is true, female fetuses are get aborted and widows live is a miserable life.
International Women’s Day is a great way to remember the importance of women in life but celebrating womans day just because other countries are celebrating will not give us anything or solve our problem. Do not merely follow such trends and the days blindly without knowing the importance associated with them. The objective will be clear the once the importance is understood. So if we really want to celebrate the International Women’s Day and have love for the our mother, and sister, wife and the girl child then we have to take a pledge there will be a total respect for women in our society and sure we will set an example of great respect, admiration and respect towards women.
Happy International Women’s Day!
